WHY I OFTEN DON'T MENTION OTHER BRANDS IN MY VIDEOS.
You may have noticed that I often don't mention the original brands that watches I am reviewing pay homage to. This is very intentional and not meant to offend you or the original brands. I lost my first channel in October 2020 which I had spent 9 months growing and invested a significant amount of money in simply because I had mentioned the original brands in some of my videos. There are people who try to use KZreads lack of understanding when it comes to the difference between homage watches and fake watches to attack other channels and their owners and sadly I fell foul of this in 2020. This channel was also attacked recently and KZread deleted content simply because I had said 'subby homage' and 'Rolex homage' in two videos despite the watches in the videos being perfectly legal homage watches. Please understand that I can not afford to risk my channel so I will no longer be mentioning other brands when reviewing homage watches.

Nice, but £200 over priced

Agreed

And the rest. £250-300 would be about right. Looks “fine” but not special and a generic bracelet looking like it’s had the factory fitted one swapped is not a good look.

So you prefer no design work be done? They can’t all look like Rolex copies can they.
Great to see Geckota watches showcased - hopefully the relationship you've got with them now can grow and you can show more.
Very nice watch, beautiful bracelet.
6:13 "LOVE a 3-6-9 dial!" 1😂😂% I do indeed; one of the reasons I still love to wear my Orient Mako II's, the watches that got me into mechanical watches. Both are modded, and with the swords and the 3-6-9 dial, they're sorta unique in a world m of SKX and 👑 Sub clones.
I’m liking that brand the more I see from them.
it looks fantastic
Revelot did the non-fitted bracelet with their Admiral. New trend? With tolerances like that, a quick release system would be welcomed. I like the subdued and timeless look to the watch.
I'm wearing my geckota e-01 gen 2 today 😁
Nice
Bracelets without fitted endlinks make me physically ill hahaha
Nice enough, but there are plenty of similar divers and it isn't cheap. Credit for drilled lugs and not Mercedes/Snowflake hands 👍
Nice one! A fixed-lug option would fit nicely in this model line
Geckota makes some really nice watches. I own one of their releases from several years ago. I also have an engineer style bracelet with a butterfly clasp. excellent quality.
Gatcha dive watch
Watch looks great but non-fitted endlinks is a dealbreaker
Looks nice enough. I bought two of the slimline sea hunters you showcased in the sale for less than the price of one. I'll wait and see if I can repeat the trick. 😉😉
I’ve got he seahunter and slimline in my collection. Looking forward for the ocean scout. I just find the straight end links a little jarring
Beautiful watch, a bit small for my 7 3/4 inch wrist
Very nice watch. I don't mind the straight bracelet end. It looks good and shows off the nice design. It is quite expensive and the dive watch sector is very competitive price wise. But this watch will certainly keep Geckota fans happy.
Nice, but a little unoriginal. I have owned a few Geckota watches, and whilst they are pretty good, the clasps are poor, and I hate the polished backs. It's good to see they have done something different to the back now. I think it's a £300/£350 watch all day long
Hi Gary,40mm yes price no . But apart from that keep up the good work
If you're ready to pay 599 for a geckota you better get a Christopher Ward c60. For a microbrand geckota is pretty expensive for what they offer
Most watch threads I see "size size size size size".
I own a San Martin with the braclet you refer to, and i agree its nightmare to size it.A true exercise in fustration.
I'll never understand why companies continue to use clasps with only 2 microadjusts. Not a fan of straightened bracelets either. Nice looking watch otherwise!
I always love the look of gekota. They were over priced for me. $500 for a quartz chronograph I liked.
Hey ILW you should have a look at the new glycine combat chronograph.... genuinely amazing value for money
Do love me a Geckota. This one looks really nice but as I diver it’s too small for my 20cm wrist.
Looks a decent watch Gary. I think for similar money I prefer my Lorier Neptune.
Anyone who thinks 38-39mm is a ladies watch, is way behind on noticing that watch sizes are trending down. As someone with a wrist on the smaller end of the spectrum, I appreciate it. I’d never buy anything above 40mm at this point.
why not make it in 40 mm so it fits most people, will never buy under 40 mm myself as my wrist is 8 inches
Nice watch head, the size is perfect, I like it. But I'm somewhat split about the straight end links. On one hand I'm not a huge fan of it. On the other hand something like a nice high quality mesh bracelet might go well with it.
Geckota’s biggest advantage is also their biggest flaw. Geckota (and Watch Gecko more broadly) do great sales with massive discounts and are always worth a look, but it means when they put out a new model, you can wait a bit and they’ll dump left over stock at a much lower price. £600 for this is laughable when the £200-400 micro brand divers market is so incredibly strong. So anyone buying it at initial retail is going to be not happy when they drop the price later.
Mm quite a nice looking ticker. However its £200 way above my price range,so guess l,ll never get one of them.
I've owned 2 Geckota watches. Very nice and well made! 👍Sounds like it was a pain putting the bracelet on? Why they didn’t make a quick release is beyond me? That would hinder me from wanting to buy one...
I wonder how secure just those two non-connecting screws are or if more screws mean more of a chance for one to come loose? Also just three micro-adjusts on the clasp .. no half links? AND for the price not thrilled with the way the bracelet meets the case ..
"Perpendicular" IS indeed the word. I got worked up into a conniption fit last night night after removing the quick *release* bars and taking the brac off of my white Proxima PX1697 to try it on a neo Bond NATO (it looked D🔥PE, big surprise 🤷🏼) Quick RELEASE, but like this, the solid endlinks are so well-machined that it was nigh impossible to get the bars pinched in and simultaneously insert the perfect fitting solid endlinks in between the lugs with only two hands. Forty five mins later, I realized I'll never do that again. Quick release, long install. If I thought it wouldn't have damaged the brac, I'd have just pulled the QR springbars out entirely and used an 3xtra set going forward. As it is, I'll be buying another PX1697 for NATOs. Ditto for PD170 "Speedy" which I think could just ROCK some NATOs 💸💸💸
Nice watch but flat end link bracelets feel like they just didn't want to put in the effort to make them fitted. I know you can just put it on a strap but I'm a bracelet guy so this is a deal breaker for me. Looks good otherwise though.
Nice ladies watch.

ZZZZZzzzzzzz…..
As they've filled in the lugs anyway why didn't they just make that piece flat so it fits neatly with the bracelet? Looks really weird to me! I'd be wearing this on a strap
Well done for getting this in so quickly. Really interesting piece. Wonder if they'd lend you the Phalanx?

Lume shot?
It’s a bit ‘meh’ for me and really at the price it’s a pretty considered purchase. The bracelet looks like a bit of a universal third party job as it has no integrated end links etc. Not something I would be interested in.
I think it’s a very nice watch but the price seem quite a bit off for me. With no real history, I can’t imagine it would hold much of its value in the second hand market. Might be something to get in a sale. Still like it though.
Nice looking watch but overpriced in a very competitive market. Attractive bracelet too and I think it looks quite an attractive design, even with the straight end links. Couldn't agree with you more on the size too. A 39 mm dive style is perfect for the vast majority of wrist sizes, and lighter, slimmer watches are so much more comfortable to wear, especially during the Summer months.
Hi Gary. Nice enough watch but I think for that money and considering the plethora of other watches out there in this category it's a bit overpriced
Expensive for a basic dive watch
Nice, but definitely way over priced, in much the same way as NTH
I’ll be back…🤖
They do tend to come in hard .re the value properstion ..or if you like to dam expensive .i suggest yhey are prob going to snag a few waych noobs .
Mmm not for me.
Pretty, undoubtedly well made. But overpriced IMHO.
Its just bloody boring!!!!
