Here are all the gear ratios available with different pinion and spur gears 70T spur 68T spur Gear ratio ( TT02 High Speed Gear Set 54500) Pinion 16T 18T 9.82:1 17T 19T 9.31:1 18T 20T 8.84:1 19T 21T 8.42:1 20T 22T 8.04:1 21T 23T 7.69:1 22T 24T 7.37:1 23T 25T 7.07:1 24T 26T 6.80:1 25T 27T 6.55:1 Pinion 64T spur Gear ratio (64T spur (OP) 51356) 22T 7.56:1 23T 7.23:1 24T 6.93:1 25T 6.66:1 26T 6.40:1 27T 6.16:1 28T 5.94:1 29T 5.74:1 * 28T and 29T pinion are sold together and you MUST use the 64T spur. However, you can't just swap the 64T with the stock 70T. You must buy the High Speed Gear Set as well as it contains an adapter. I.e. 28T/29T pinion = 54500+51356 * When you get 54500, read the instructions to see which holes to use on the motor mount. The stock motor mount works fine.

I love these videos!! They’re a little fast with the edits, so maybe more slow-motion at the finish line, but otherwise I’m learning so much. Really shows the first upgrade for an average user should be good bearings, before all else.

Excellent comparison as always! The 29T pinion is a wild gearing! Wow. Looking forward trying to gear my TT-02B. Have you tried the max stock 70T spur gearing, with a 20T pinion?

Thank you for your questions. A 70T spur gear with a 20T pinion is OK! The Gear ratio is 9.10 : 1.

How do you calculate the ratios? With the numbers you provide I get: High Gear: 2.20:1 Mid Gear: 3.23:1 Low Gear: 4.37:1

TT-02's GEAR RATIO = ( number of spur teeth / number of pinion teeth ) x 2.6

Hi, i have a tt02 yaris wrt. Torque tuned, tble02s and lipo 2s. Stock pinion/hi speed spur 68t. in your opinion, what is the best gear ratio for top speed without burning that i can mount? 27/68?

I recommend 29/64 (5.74 : 1) . Probably I think your TT-02 yaris is OK. It is a short time, but it has been tested with the following specifications. My modified TT-02B (buggy) TBLE-03S Li-Po 2s Torque Tuned Brushed Motor Pinion : 29T Spur : 64T

If you go with that pinion (29T) and spur (64T) on the torque tuned motor, I wouldn't expect it to last very long and definitely get a heat sink and fan on the motor! With a 68T spur, anything beyond a 22/23T pinion is probably going to burn the motor out quickly.

Yes, you can with adjustable motor mount, barely. If the gap between the 29T pinion and the lower deck is tight, you will need to lightly scrape the deck.

I would also measure run time.

かつて愛車だったマイティフロッグにも、3種類。高・中・低速ギアが付いていました。 高速ギアは、加速が少し鈍いが、確かに最高速は速い。 低速ギアは、あっという間に速度が頭打ちになり、のろい。 中速ギアは、その中間。といった印象でした。 持っているバッテリーは1200mAhの7.2Vらくだパック1個のみ、充電には何時間も掛かる通常の充電器。 変速はセメント抵抗による物で、言い換えればエネルギーをドブに捨てる装置。 こんな状況なので、少しでも長く遊ぶため、バッテリーの持ちは切実な問題でした。 高速ギアのトップスピードは魅力的でしたが、あまりにバッテリー消費が大きい。 低速ギアは、遅すぎてつまらない。何の為に走らせているのか分からない。 と言った事情で、中速ギアばかりを用いていました。 私は何ら記録を残さなかったので、当時を上記のような印象でしか語れませんが、 この動画のように、映像と解析結果を残し、広められるのはすばらしいと思います。

こちらの動画にもお付き合いくださってありがとうございます。マイティフロッグはキット標準の状態で3種のギヤ比から選べるのですね。知りませんでした。今調べましたら、6.7:1, 7.3:1, 8.5:1 のようで、なかなかハイギヤードな設定なのですね。当時のスピードコントローラーもしっかり覚えています。とても懐かしいです。

返信ありがとうございます。 確かに、あのタイヤ径でこの減速比はハイギヤードな設定ですね。 直流モーターは、無負荷回転時の半分の回転数になるような負荷が与えられた時に 最大の仕事率を発生しますので、バッテリー消費や発熱などはお構い無しに、 最大の仕事率を発生した時に最高速あたりになるよう設計されたのかも知れません。
