@@kent5thblack15 I'm not an original fan, but I've watch one piece since I learned about it in 2013, ever since I've been hooked, the shows only gotten better with time, and if it continues this way more people will sing one pieces praises than could ever be imagined. With the live action on its way now as well I feel oda is making the perfect moves at the perfect times, what's not to love about this latest development in animation? In my humble opinion I think it perfectly captures luffy childlike essense as a character and the artistic freedom the animatosr are allowed to have in expressing their full view of what that freedom means to them, and I think that means a lot more than what some fans may think at the end the day. Me personally? Ima sit back and enjoy this show till either I die first or I make it to the end godwilling, but either way I'm already enjoying every second

That's because Snakeman isn't stronger or faster than Katakuri. He barely closed the gap between them enough for them to fight as equals until Katakuri gave up. Edit: This is about whether or not Luffy at the time could humiliate Katakuri which the answer (ironically considering the jaw dropping secret revealed) is no. Enemy specializes in doging attacks and has a fruit similar to Luffy's allowing flexibitlity that Kaido doesn't have, so he's much harder to hit compared to the tank.

Imagine you are in a 'real world' and you end up fighting a cartoon character, what can you really do to hurt them? This is really an absurdly strong power. For example, look at the film "Who framed roger rabbit", it's the same situation, or "the mask" or older cartoons, the only think Luffy can't do (probably) is make things appear out of nowhere, but everything else a (classic) cartoon can do, he probably can do too.

I feel like Luffys devil fruit represents freedom of imagination, creativity and fun, it is funny that the world government is trying to get a hold of it but can never really do it, they say it's almost like the devil fruit is evading them. It feels like a comparison to censorship, you can never suppress human nature (plus the fruit is the human human fruit, it makes even more sense), you can never stop the people from using their imagination(the way Luffy fought also is very cartoonish and "unrealistic/impossible" but still through the power of imagination and creativity, we see luffy making it possible), maybe the one piece is related to that, the one piece may be the ability to imagine, it surely is a treasure to humans. We can see that through out the anime, one piece is filled with creative personas, places, clothes, prespectives, etc, all that comes from one place, our heads.

Oda, look at this! You know when such people - even just a tiny representation of us OP fandom - with these reactions all over the world, it needs to make you (finally) realize how much fun and excitement you brought to us with Gear 5 and this chapter. Not a protagonist that needs hate or fury to achieve the next evolution, but simply joy. Now, we all get it. What a unique and fitting way for Luffy. So great to see so many people legitimately having fun watching this legendary episode. What a great time.
