GCSE English Secrets (Grade 9/A*)
There is a formula to getting a Grade 9 or an A* in GCSE English Literature. In this video, I outline the very same formula that got me my grade 9s.

yes, I watch mr salles, and first rate tutors, i also think they're cute together. freesciencelessons is literally the best. hydrocarbons and that. I love GCSE vlogs, favourite youtubers? ani^, sarah chu, shiggs, smile with sola, henry brand, akshar patel, sheryl, and so on and so forth. GCSE Lit texts? I mean I do Macbeth, A Christmas Carol, an Inspector Calls and Power and Conflict Poetry. I'll be real, I prefer AQA as an exam board over Pearson Edexcel, but I still do Edexel maths :( But I do AQA for both English and Higher Tier Separate Science. I hope to get all grade 9s in my GCSEs. I am thinking about English Language for A level choices as well. Don't judge, it's really different to the GCSE. Anyway, getting a 9 in english I would say isn't easy, but is simple. Simple studying. Simple techniques. Study timetables. Study Schedules on the easter holiday. Results day is going to be crazy.

Ive never been an english person, like its always been that one subject bringing down my aps but recently ive been understanding and getting into it more and i found this video at the perfect time because i might even take it for a level, this really helped me understand more about what the subjecy is all about

I'm so glad ive been able to help! and it's really cool how you're getting into english now. when thinking about a level i would also reccomend looking at the differences between a level lit and a level lang, they are VERY different and lang a level is also VERY different to the GCSE! I'll hopefully be taking Eng Lang next year! if i manage to get time between now and the language papers then definetly! i'm sitting the exams too this year so i don't have a lot of time right now 🥲 but I can 100% do a video on language afterwards! @@_z.ao_3175 you've got this - and worse case scenario, there will always be resits that you can prep even more for and have an even better chance at getting the grade that you want. For Language, it can be really difficult to analyse things on the spot 😪 but one channel that really helped me was mr salles, i hope that some of his english language videos could help you 💗 good luck !!

@@girlinworld the thing is resits are much harder than the gcse exams 😭 i used him for literature he is rlly good went from a 5 to a 7 hopefully I can do the same for language I don’t rlly struggle with the language analysis it’s mainly q3,4 and 5 that are my downfall in paper 1

@@_z.ao_3175 right i see - you should be proud of how much you've been able to improve in literature, and i wish you good luck for Language too. have your teachers suggested preparing a question 5 then fitting it in to whatever promt comes up? that could possibly help. some people do really well on q1-4 so relax on question 5 but i'm the opposite and prefer to do crazy on q5 then relax a bit more for q1-4. It all depends on what technique you feel works for you the best, or if you have / have heard of a different technique I'd love to hear it !
