Thank you for helping me revise for my science test
So helpful thank you!!
This video made it so much easier to understand. Thank you!
The clearest explanation I've been able to find, by far!
Easy way to remember if you are struggling to understand: - NEARBY: Suspensory ligaments SLACKENS - Cilary muscles CONTRACT (remember it as SS and CC) However, when you think about it for far objects, you can just think of the opposite. (Suspensory ligaments taut, cilary muslces relax) Hope thats helps!!🎉🎉

really useful, thankyou
Thanks. Mad helpful
Thank you very much.😁
Ophthalmologist here. If the eye is long- or short-sighted, it’s not always the lens’s fault. Short sighted people often have longer eyeballs, so the focus falls short of the retina. Long sighted people often have small eyes, so their focus overshoots the eyeball. It can also be the fault of the cornea, which can be too flat or too curved

Hey cognito! Although I am not particularly sure, aren't the diagrams at 5:40 the wrong way round? I would imagine that the relative lens of a long-sighted person would be significantly less fat than the diagram illustrates, considering that the inability to view close objects is derived from having a less elastic lens(thinner).
@excaliber2845
Жыл бұрын
of you look at the face of the lens, it is flat on the long sighten one, but yes it should be thin
@maths764
10 ай бұрын
I think that it's meant to show how the lens is trying to becomes fat (or thin for short sightedness), but it's just not enough

From a medical student perspective, you have the best video on eye correlating both anatomy and physiology at the same time, and the best part of your video is animation because eye physiology is something best understood by visualisation. I encourage you to start making videos of physiological concepts for medschool.
Crazzy showing the front perspective was very effective. i finally understood this whole contraction thing. Thanks a lot

Thanks .I was able to understand but in the part of longsightedness and shortsightedness you didn't include any thing related to size of eyeball which i was searching for, i am really confused right now whether it is size of eyeball or the lens or both causing myopia and hyperopia.? Anyone knows please tell me .
@firecat7037
4 ай бұрын
myopia/hyperopia is caused by a refractive error in the cornea
@myyoutubeaccount80395
2 ай бұрын
Hyperopia is due to a short eyeball or weak lens,myopia is due to a too strong lens or a eyeball which is too long
