I have had a White Knight gas tumble dryer for around 20 years ( maybe a bit more, I am on my 2nd). They are brilliant, I would not go back to electric for love nor money. Very economical.

19:48 why didn’t they just put a filter were the grill is I mean that could be quite dangerous if a huge bit of built up full getting into the gas burner it’s like what’s the point of having a filter when it can get dusty from sucking in unfiltered air

I guess there shouldn't be any really big gobs of fluff getting in there, there is a grill in front of it. Any little bits of dust or fluff in the air would just get burnt and pass as ash through the laundry and into the filter. Seems ok to me.

I checked the exploded views in the service manual just now and there are no filters missing from the machine. Must be safe!

It is on an old hard drive somewhere, I'll need a few days or so to look it up. I have many other videos to process in the meantime!

From what I have heard nobody will service these. My gas engineer couldn't find anyone. But there must be someone out there. From what I can tell they are an inherently safe machine. Let me know how you get on.

gas is much cheaper than electricity, also has cleaner emissions than most power stations

@@Kubulek17 actually the correct argument is that burning fossil fuels on site is way efficient than using it to generate electricity at a power station (where efficiency is always lower than 50%)
