Gary Wright’s all time best song!

My favorite by him! Around 1995, I was looking for it on CD and couldn’t find it. I wrote to his website to see if it be available on CD soon and I got a nice answer back - from Gary! ❤

Love this song. Remember first hearing it in early September 1981. It definitely had a futuristic sound to it, but there were a lot of keyboard heavy songs at the time and earlier that sounded way ahead of their time. Thanks for your review. RIP Gary Wright.

AS A DIE HARD GARY WRIGHT FAN SINCE 1976 THE DREAMWEAVER ALBUM WHICH FEATURED ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITE ROCK SONGS "LOVE IS ALIVE" I FELI GREAT TO FINALLY HEAR HIS SONG ON THE RADIO AGAIN !!!! I SPENT THE REST OF THAT SUMMER INVADEING NEW YORK CITY RECORD STORES, BUYING THE OTHER GARY WRIGHT ALBUMS THAT FOR SOME REASON HAD NOT BEEN PLAYED ON THE LOCAL RADIO STATIONS !!!! OTHER THAN THE DREAMWEAVER, HIS 1979 ALBUM "HEAD'IN HOME" WERE THE ONLY ONES I HAD. BUT I NOW HAVE ALL OF THEM IN "THE RIGHT PLACE" FINALLY LATE IN THE YEAR 2010 I FINALLY GOT TO SEE GARY WRIGHT PERFORM LIVE AT THE B.B. KINGS CONCERT HALL IN TIMES SQUARE NEW YORK CITY !!!! ALTHOUGH THE CONCERT HALL IS NO LONGER THERE NOW THE MEMORY OF HIS GREAT PERFORMANCE WILL LAST FOREVER !!!!

From the 1981 album, "The Right Place" this has such a great melody fired by the drums. 🥁🥁The guitars are great, the synthesizer energizing and his vocals so lovely. It spent 17 weeks on the charts and was the 3rd largest hit for Gary, unfortunately his last charting song. Great reaction Harri. Thanks Harri and Imadrummin 👏 👏 Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦

Yes, this was my favorite from Mr. Wright. For me it was the harmony of the voices and yes, the keyboards. I was 31 when the song was released. I was and still am 'captivated' by the sounds of the synths' in the song. And, when the drums come in after the 'swirling' vocals that is another 'high point' in the song. Just saw where Gary Wright passed away (80 years old). He got to do what he loved.

Gary Wright deserves much love as Todd Rundgren on my watch. They both played on the same stage with Ringo All Star Band. Think Billy Squire and other phenomenal artist had that tour thing going on.🤟🤟🤟

3 other great songs on this album, I Got The Feeling, Coming Apart, and the title track The Right Place are all bangers! Love his sound.

'Love is Alive' by him is a good one as well.
