I lived in Vegas for a short while. I had ordered a treadmill, and it was being delivered. The driver had just delivered the exact same treadmill at Jerry Lewis's house. He was telling me that Jerry's wife was accepting the delivery; however, Jerry came out of the house asking his wife: "can I come out?" That was so funny! He seem to always be in character. I've always been a Big fan of Jerry and later, Gary. I grew up listening to him and watching all of Jerry's movies and tv. shows. Great stuff! 👏🏻😊.

Kuddos to his mother, Patti, for raising a NORMAL, centered, humble son amongst what must have been the chaos of being Jerry Lewis' first born son - could not have been easy!!

To have been born into Hollywood royalty, Mr Gary Lewis is so humble, down to earth. I don’t need to mention how talented and gifted he is. I wish, I’d seen Gary and The Playboys in person. Wow, 7 years of drum lessons from Buddy Rich? It doesn’t get much better than that.

Met Gary on the Oldies Cruise Nov 2013 and talked to him every day. Great performances. One day he was doing a 45 min gig with Jerry Blavat. They hot up changed seats and Gary started to drink from Blavat’s clear glass with liquid in it. I knew it was straight vodka and I knew of Gary’s ex alcoholism so I yelled “ it’s Vodka” just as Gary was about to drink the “ water”. He had a tad but immediately spit it out. Next day I met him and told him it was me that yelled. He gave me a big bear hug of thanks. Could have set him off so I felt good. Saw him in Niagara Falls USA in 2019 ? and after when he was signing his merchandise I lined up and waited to talk to him behind the table. Told him “ hi it’s me who yelled ITS VODKA and he got up and hugged me across the table. His 2 other band members shook my hands. Was a very important moment for them as a group. I felt good. True story. Paul from Toronto Canada Nov 2023. Am 77

The 50s-70s put out the best collection of music in world history from jazz, rock, soul, blues, easy listening, pop, country etc. Something about that time frame in music will never be duplicated.

I'm almost 64 years old and I remember being a 5 year old loudly singing "Diamond Ring" in public. BTW, Gary Lewis looks younger than I do even though he is significantly older. What a cool guy. 👍

This was a great interview. I had the pleasure of meeting Gary and the Playboys after their performance here in upstate NY. He is the most personable, down to earth gentleman. Everybody sang and danced and cheered and clapped ❤❤❤❤❤❤👍👍👍👍👍. He was very nice to his fans. They did not rush anyone, and stayed after and talked for a long time. Very fond memories. I would love to send him a letter.. They all signed the CD and posed for photos. He is only a few years older. I wish I could remember what year that was. This senior citizen grew up when music was great.. would love to see him in concert again in upstate NY. Thank you for the wonderful interview with Gary. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

When I was 8 in summer 1964 my parents, brother and I were at Yellowstone Park. We saw a band playing called the Playboys in a big dance hall type place [probably part of the hotel] somewhere. I think it may have been Gary Lewis and the Playboys BEFORE they were famous. Unless someone here can answer that mystery, I''ll never know for sure. I also saw him with that Happy Together Tour around 1985 at the Lansing MI Civic Center [since then that building has been torn down]. Maybe Gary could tell me if that was him at Yellowstone. Mom and dad tried to waltz to a 4/4 pop tune, it was hilarious to two little boys...there was hardly anyone in the place at the time, must have been the middle of the week.
