made me cry..ty mark
Man it's so easy to see how hard it would be to work with this guy. He has no idea of the meaning of 'we'. Can't get a word in!
Wow ! I feel good to hear this. Thanks Oz 🙏
This is the most inspiring thing I ever heard. Get good, get confident, don't give up, do what it takes. Thanks for the lesson Vinnie!
Wow, hadn't realized that Frank "discovered" Vinny, basically gave him his 1st break.
Great man this Darryl 🙌
God bless George Duke and Ed Mann
What an incredible time to be able to go there with barely anything in your pocket and the clothes on your back and eventually become the drummer of one of the great musical composers musicians and Geniuses of all time and his career just went off from there and now he's revered is one of the greatest drummers of all time I would certainly put him in my top five easily even Terry Bozzio would be in my top five along with Neil Peart Bill bruford and Carl Palmer
So a video on Jeff Beck with absolutely soulless tripe music intro. Beck is amazing, he is :)
Does anyone know why Waddy was not on Warren Zevon's final album The Wind? That album was sort of a reunion of all Warren's cohorts over the years, and Waddy was certainly one of the biggest of those.
AmaZing story & video thank you Dom & Vinnie
What I find interesting about Vinnie is that even his hand movements, as he talks, it is almost deliberate with accuracy.
Che storia ragazzi...Porcaro disse di se stesso che rifiuto' diverse audizioni per Frank perche' "sicuramente lo avrebbe fatto a pezzi"(sic).Grandissimo Vinnie
Bravo!
I nominate Tommy president of the drummer's brotherhood. He was so nice and cool when I met him. Was in Indy with Thin Lizzy with Gorham, Sykes.
Awesome interview with Steve. Rest in peace Dom.😢
And how did it end up that Vinnie worked with Jeff Beck?
What a beautiful soul. Truly missed.
Don, what a great conversation w/ Waddy! Thanks, Waddy, for the amazing :) stories!
I love her so much. I would love to just talk to her and soak up as much music knowledge as I can. She’s a true genius
I got to run sound for Ron on a few occasions, I am being honest when I say I did not know his legacy. But he was skilled, soft-spoken, polite, and told me I made some of the best monitor mixes he's ever had. And I can die happy knowing that. RIP Ron, you gentleman.
i watch this at least once a year bruh 😂
Good talk, luv RA
Amazing interview! Very interesting! Wow! A lot of information and super talented guy ❤
What became of your association with Charley Karp?
"Facility" was an interesting but great word to use.
Frank sounds like a real douche. But, I love his stuff.
Joe's garage!!!
He’s played on many of my favorite albums of all time…. Diary of a Madman, White Snake, etc.
fascinating story. Can someone please fill in the blanks? Why was Terry's kit there?
I think Frank owned the kit, but Terry was moving on, Vinny was his replacement.
He invented seal call fusion music.
🎉two great drummers
Chariots of the gods fan?
I found myself "Glued to the TV", as they would say, while watching this intierview.. Vinnie is not only a world-class drummer, but articulate beyond measure, and a fascinating FACTUAL story-teller with a high-level of intelligence that is just off-the-charts. Interviewer Dom Famulero (who passed at the age of 72) is one of the BEST. His questions are very precise and focused. He was ALSO a world-class drummer, as can be found here on KZread. Not to mention, Dom authored a great book titled The Cycle of Self-Empowerment".
Manu !!😊
Interesting that he doesn't talk about Miles.
Future man.
You are the best drummer ever!! ❤️❤️❤️
Anika, you are amazing!!best drummer in the world!!what you create is incredible!!mind blowing!!you are super beautiful too!!!much love from Phoenix AZ United States!!
I love Jack, he has his signature sound on drum
Aint tht funny
It's over. They'd take it away🎉
Yes Watched Airto Live, in 1980 in London. a True Master of Percussion and a cool drummer. I wonder if he met Coke Escovedo the cool Timbale player
What an inspiration!
Vinnie is otherworldly good!!
Great interview with Hal. Rest in peace. Amen 🙏
Great conversation. He just let Waddy talk.
I hated that movie and honestly fuck that director after he won several Oscar’s, got up on stage multiple times and never once mentioned Sanchez. Even if you like the movie, it has to be acknowledged that his drums are the driving force of the film (imo the only good thing) and not a word.
Where are they?Currently they make way more money and we still have some problems and it seems like nobody gives a damn about it musically
Truth...Great Art was a peep at The News of the ⏲️ 📰 🆗️? So is 🎶 Skeltons 🎵 by Mr Stevie Wonder 🎉 Enjoy, this Weekend 🎉
