Gary Johnson's Month Of Fail Continues...

Gary Johnson may only be remembered for his gaffes. Cenk Uygur, host of The Young Turks, breaks it down. Tell us what you think in the comment section below. tytnetwork.com/join
"The Donald Trump campaign has circulated a memo telling surrogates to bring up Bill Clinton's sex scandals while defending Trump's comments about women like former Miss Universe Alicia Machado, CNN reported late Wednesday.
"Mr. Trump has never treated women the way Hillary Clinton and her husband did when they actively worked to destroy Bill Clinton's accusers," one campaign talking point reads, according to CNN.
Another line tells surrogates to say, "Hillary Clinton bullied and smeared women like Paula Jones, Gennifer Flowers and Monica Lewinsky."
The memo even directs supporters on how to respond when asked if they are blaming Hillary Clinton for her husband's affairs.
"Are you blaming Hillary for Bill's infidelities? No, however, she's been an active participant in trying to destroy the women who has come forward with a claim," one of the talking points reads.”*

To be fair, the question wasn't about naming a foreign leader, but about naming a foreign leader that he admires. There isn't a single country in the world run by libertarians, or even with libertarians in high office outside of the US, as far as I know, and if you are libertarian, you look up to other libertarians. It's like being an antitheist and being asked which religion you admire.

There is no foreign leader to admire. It's a trick question. No matter who he chooses, he would be "wrong". Gary Johnson is the only candidate talking about balancing the budget to start paying off our nation debt. Honesty is not a gaffe and it's pretty humble to joke about a previous "gaffe" that, again, only expressed his genuine honesty. Why do you guys take honesty forgranted when the other candidates are liars and hypocrites? "To preserve [the] independence [of the people,] we must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt. We must make our election between economy and liberty, or profusion and servitude. If we run into such debts as that we must be taxed in our meat and in our drink, in our necessaries and our comforts, in our labors and our amusements, for our callings and our creeds, as the people of England are, our people, like them, must come to labor sixteen hours in the twenty-four, give the earnings of fifteen of these to the government for their debts and daily expenses, and the sixteenth being insufficient to afford us bread, we must live, as they now do, on oatmeal and potatoes, have no time to think, no means of calling the mismanagers to account, but be glad to obtain subsistence by hiring ourselves to rivet their chains on the necks of our fellow-sufferers." --Thomas Jefferson to Samuel Kercheval, 1816. What you're missing is that Johnson's inability to camouflage deficiencies goes hand in hand with his deficiencies. Yes, most politicians are better at "covering", as you put it, but on the other hand, most politicians have at least some knowledge of foreign affairs. The reason Johnson can't cover is the same reason he can't answer the easiest of questions: he's just plain stupid.

Johan Liberal you'd think with all the major support and alternative model Bernie ran on, that Stein would get more but alas, she's not running as a democrat and many people are just once again fed up with the system. Bernie at least had some corporate media coverage as a Democrat which I'm curious if he'd get running as an independent, or Green or socialist alliance. The corporate media basically only covers right-wingers, right-wing democrats, republicans then alternative right-wingers like perot, now gary Johnson. Johnson who does have wealthy backers some of them include Koch industries.

He wants to get rid of corporate taxes. He wants to roll back energy and environmental regulations. He's for the TPP. He wants to regress on healthcare. Johnson won his party's nomination, and will likely help shift a generation of potential Republicans away from the "social conservatism" message. Bernie tilted the Democrats slightly to the left...for this election cycle. I love the man, but when you don't have a platform to speak on (which Bernie would have had with the nomination), it's much harder to have a voice. I hope he will continue to be a fighter in the Senate, but I don't think the 2nd place finisher of the Democratic nomination has as much clout as you think (or that I think he should, to be honest...)

Bernie had a higher percentage of people voting for him in his bid than Gary Johnson's party altogether. Not the strongest on foreign policy (much like Gov Johnson in a fashion) but he was very focused on trying to unite Americans for the benefit of Americans. If Gory J can shift Republicans away from bat-shit crazy I am all for that. And if Bernie continues the fight to keep Clinton and the Democrats honest, all the better.

I'm not his supporter, but i don't find this to be a shameful gaffe. It's ok to not have a favorite foreign leader, especially if you are against the hierarchical political systems, even if you yourself are a presidential candidate. I like his tweet at 4:05 -- it clarifies that he actually does not have a favorite foreign leader and that his lack of an immediate answer to the question in the interview was not necessarily a sign of ignorance.

I would have said "No disrespect to any of the world leaders today, but with the issues we are facing right now in America, I can't be concerned about other world leaders. I'm focused on fixing our problems at home". And you know what, because America is so brainwashed by the media's opinion, I would have been crucified by the media and the public. Long story short, they don't want you to change the game of politics, they want you to play the game. Our politicians have been playing the same game long enough, it's clear the game needs to change. Speaking of Aleppo you guys should do a video on it. Your coverage of Syria has been almost non existent. I get that its a complicated issue in some ways and I'm not asking you to take any sides. Just do a video on the ways in which it is uncomplicated, such as the fact that the Syrian regime and Russia are currently flattening one of the ancient cradles of civilization. The city used to have 2 million people, there are 250,000 left. There are only 5 hospitals left (or probably less by now, idk) due to the most aggressive systematic targeting of medical facilities and workers in the history of warfare. They've been forced to literally dig underground to set up hospitals, and even those aren't safe from the regime's "bunker-buster" bombs. Isn't this something you empathetic libs should give a damn about!? There was a recent viral video where a UN ambassador from the Assad regime was asked by a reporter about the regime's recent bombing of two hospitals, and his response was to laugh like a Disney villain and walk away. That should be something you can work with TYT!

Not only that, you'd have to name one you ADMIRE. I had problems when I was in school naming who my "hero" was because I didn't look up to ANYONE that way. It just seemed so disingenuous to claim that someone is held in such complete regard. The fact that he couldn't think of a response with Chris Matthews screaming at him isn't exactly disqualifying. It just means he has a hard time with lying, and prefers to think out his answers.

Even with the help of Google and unlimited time, I can't find a reasonably libertarian foreign leader. They don't exist. Headlines saying, Johnson couldn't name a foreign leader are very misleading.
