    My guess is whenever they got the wedding's photo album. One would say "aw you look so adorable there with my (MeeMa/Aunt Polly)" then have the same realization but without Elroy and Chang to help work things out

    The reason why this is Elroy's most memorable moment for most people is because it's uniquely HIS. There's NO other character who could (or would even think to) say such a line with so much confidence 😂

    i have never been an actor or worked in any sort of set for anything....but i would dare speculate that for scenes that involved that sort of physicality they would probably practice several times beforehand, to make sure nobody gets hurt.

    I know a lot of these comments are talking about Keith David's line, but I just want to draw attention to the way Meemaw faints into that guy's arms. She doesn't even fall, really, more like flops like a dolphin into his arms, and I just know that that guy's chest must've been bruised after that. It caught me off guard so much that I couldn't help but to laugh.
