First noticed him as the professional "Shootist" in "The Quick and the Dead": unparalleled presence!

Elroy and Frankie were great additions to the cast, really shook up the established dynamic. Shame they didn’t get much time on the show. It’s like if Parks and Rec introduced Chris and Ben in the last season

I agree but most of Frankie and Elroy's great interaction with the cast hangs on what we know about the group before they arrive. Given that Chevy doesn't want to be in the Community, be it Keith or Jonatahan, both works just fine as his replacement. The Shirley to Frankie dynamic though, I think they can co-exist.

The earnest delivery on "one mechanical alligator!" was great.

I seek & watch that scene and that individual mini-line on a regular basis.

1) Keith David is FANTASTIC in general. 2) Season 6 of Community is underrated. 3) The main characters introduced in Community Season 6 are tragically ignored and underrated. 4) That is all.

How I remembered Keith David before Community: Being a badass ally as the Arbiter in Halo and being a badass father figure in Mass Effect. How I remember Keith David after Community: The incredulous look he gives after Frankie says she doesn’t own a TV and him yelling encouragement at Garrett for marrying his cousin

When you realise that Keith David played Spawn/Al Simmons, Goliath from Gargoyles, Tombstone in Spectacular Spider-man and so many more! Incredible actor and a great addition to Season 6 of Community.

Everyone knows the best moment. For me, the second best would be the entire scene in the RV, right before he picked up all those phones. He knew everyone had charged their phones, but he was in denial and kept talking calmly until he came to that conclusion.

to me the "hot lunch lady" joke is unparalleled

he’s literally so underrated

"I'd be lying if I said I didn't poop" makes me laugh more than it probably should

I need Elroy and Hickey in a room together...

This man could have any role he wants… and he happily does this. I love him

Elroy made the most of his time at Greendale. Now that’s a man who knows how to fit in a group!

He makes me so happy. Keith David's lines from the series make me laugh more consistently over time than anything else in life so far.

This video made me realize how perfectly this show manages to capture what 2014/2015 felt like without instantly dating itself. So much optimism about the future of technology, and socioeconomic issues. And now, eight and nine years later, we've only progressed backwards.
