I wonder about what happened on Earth after that. Did they all just die, leaving their bodies behind for someone to find (with everyone on Earth thinking it was a multiple murder) or did their bodies disappear too (leaving people on Earth thinking it was a never solved missing persons case). Either way, given how famous Tahani was on earth, it would have been an even more infamous case than if either scenario happened with four 'regular' people.

@@e.y.a7140 Yes and no. Yes, I made a mistake Micheal went back in time to save Jason in Season Three, but he didn't do it so Eleanor, Chidi, Tahani, and Jason could keep living on earth. He did it so the four could have a chance to earn good points so they could get into the real good place. He wanted them to have a fresh start.

All of these are hilarious but Tahani’s is honestly really sad. She spent her whole life being overshadowed by her sister, then someone literally tells her they forgot she existed, and then her own sister says she doesn’t care about her. That’s honestly really depressing.

Yeah. It’s sad that after 30 years of trying to come out of her sister’s shadow, she died, crushed by a massive golden statue of her. After her death, her body was probably under that statue for a long time, since it was a heavy statue and I doubt many cared tbh. She would have been stuck under a huge gold metal version of her sister. Honestly really sad

For a lighthearted sitcom these people had some gruesome deaths. Chidi got his skull smashed in by an air conditioner Tahani probably had multiple fractures and internal bleeding from being smashed by a giant statue Jason suffocated to death. And eleanor was hit by shopping carts and run over by a car. And Janet was murdered by a button... a freaking button. The worst one of them all

honestly wished tahani or chidi had different deaths! because even if being crushed and being killed by a heavy object sounds gruesome it didn't really gives instant death accidents. Like they could've just been in a coma or broke their bones, but of course it sometimes does kill you instantly. Like chidi's could be more of his indecisiveness like deciding where to go while his driving and it leads to having a car crash and tahani for some reason i thought of a fire started in kamilah's party or in any party and she got trapped in a vip room or stock room trying to sneak into the party and burned to death but i think the reason they made odd deaths is because they don't want to trigger someone's traumatic near-death or death situations that are similar to the characters while watching the show.

anyone else notice how all characters directly and indirectly killed themselves Chidi hit his air conditioner making it come loose and he also took to long to decide where to go so it took longer than it should have to get out of the place where he would be killed Tahani got so jealous and killed herself by pulling down her sisters statue crushing her Jason was just so dumb that he locked himself in a safe to try and rob a store killing himself and Eleanor got caught up in a argument which made her be in the wrong place in the wrong time when she dropped her martini mix

It's actually kind of clever that they saved Tahani's death scene for Season 2. Before the "Good Place" pretense fell apart, it made sense to show Eleanor and Jason as flawed individuals that were sent to paradise by mistake, and Chidi as a well-intentioned guy who earned his position there. Tahani supposedly earned a position as well, so it would've been confusing to show the true selfishness behind her altruism... until she was finally allowed to remember that she was in the "Bad Place", and genuinely wonder _why._

D'Arcy Carden's delivery helps a lot. She was superb in the role of Janet, for sure! Possibly my favorite character, but that's a tough call to make on this show!

Honestly they all had really sad lives, Tahani was never good enough Eleanor blocked out all love because she thought she was incapable of anything good Chidi had stress and anxiety making everyone dislike him Jason could've had such a better life.

Honestly out of all four Jason probably had the best life. Sure he had tragic parenting and lives in poverty, but he was the only one who had a legitimate friendship, was pursuing his passions and knew how to enjoy himself.

I just realized when watching this video that in the episode where Michael gave Chidi the options of which woman to choose, right before showing him his death, Michael said that the answer was Eleanor.... the exact thing that Chidi later wrote in the note to himself in season 4!! The writing in this show was just so thoughtful & smart!

Eleanor used to have no empathy, she would have pushed that button with no remorse, but with Chidi’s teachings, she hesitated

good place is the only tv series that i have seen where i don’t cry in the dead of the main characters

Ok but really am I the only one who wonders what was everyone’s reaction after they died by going into Janet’s void, like they just disappeared, I mean what about Kamilah, or Eleanor’s mom, or Donkey Dough and Pillboi, or Simone (I also really wanna know how she died) or even Larry Hemsworth. And on the other hand I also wonder about everyone’s reaction after their original deaths. This is why I dont sleep at night ngl.

With Simone I imagine she either committed suicide or got killed by Bad Place crew. Anything else is too much of a coincidence. Pillboi is still working at the old folks home, waiting for news on the NASA conspiracy; Donkey Doug is in prison for attempted factory robbery. Kamilah will probably have dedicated some of her art to Tahani, and Donna has a family to support her.

@@rtozier2011 You know what, Simone being killed by The Bad Place actually makes sense! They never cover her death, and while suicide could be possible it feels unsatisfactory for her character (especially since we don’t know her backstory or personality outside of her work and relationship with Chidi.) But we know The Bad Place are bad boiz who can only fail up. They break rules all the time. I consider this cannon now 😜👌🏼

Chidi's was surprisingly violent.

I love how Janet doesn’t have on shoes on the beach and she’s just feeling the sand on her anthropomorphic feet

Pillbox rolling up w/ the safe no one ordered in his ridiculous getup and saying “Digiorno!” As a greeting was the hardest I laughed at the show.

This show needs WAY more recognition

we see plenty more deaths than these in the good place but chidi's original death will always haunt me the most

Jason’s death kills me (pun intended) 😂 what really gets me is that the plan made less than zero sense.

I didn’t realise how much Eleanor had changed until I watched the flashback to when she was alive

“CHIDI NO NO NO CHIDI PLEASE DONT HURT MEEE” “ELEANOR WAIT ELEANOR NOOOO I HAVE THREE BEAUTIFUL KIDS”

It was only set up as a joke . But I always imagine the Journalists who was interviewing Tahani and keep asking of her sister would’ve then reporte her death and keep on talking on how great Kamilah looked at the funeral .

“I’ll install the safe in, how you say, a place” 🤣🤣🤣 PILL BOI!!!!

The backstories and resolutions of the characters are so satisfying

The name of the safe when Jason dies is Swanson safe company as in Ron Swanson..

I loved this show so much the writers are amazing! Ty for making this masterpiece

Honestly I find Chidi’s death the saddest. Sure he did it to himself but just the way that Uzo sounded so calm only to immediately become angered just ruins the nice dynamic they had. And you had to feel bad for Uzo just watching Chidi die right there in front of him when he was going to make him his best man, that’s just depressing.

I saw the title and thought what the heck this is a fun, light hearted show how is there death? and then I realised it is literally a show about the after world and death 😂

The nature of the afterlife in the good place meant that these characters dying didn’t mean pure sadness, it means they can directly reflecy

When you rewatch to see if you could see the signs they where in hell and also the ending where they and many others live till they are ready to move on is just simple but the funniest part is Jason waiting for Janet for like 1000 years in the woods near the moving on portal

What about: 'Wait, Did You just say We were gonna Di- (?)'

I really do wonder what the aftermath of Tahani’s death was. For all of them, actually. This show makes you forget that none of these people are actually alive, they’re all dead.

I like how they each died due to their flaws and in death they overcame those flaws

I just realised that the air conditioner falling on Chidi was because he punched it because he thought it wasnt working
