Depends on the model. Mine can do maps, GPS, and pre-loaded music away from the phone. Temperature is gleaned from the phone connection, but altitude and biometrics are on the phone.

May I ask how big is your wrist? My wrist is 14 cm, so I am not sure if this is too big for me or not.

Hi Becky, a little over 4 months. Are you still happy with it? I have the Samsung Gear and am super happy with it, but I gotta charge it daily because it won't make it through the second day. Any new pros/cons or have any failures? Thanks!!

I wore it for months before making this review. Charge lasts about 4 days with my usual use. It's a bit thick but otherwise I'm happy.

I was marginally interested in this ... until I found the price ... holy cow. I wouldn't put something on my wrist that cost that much. I refer to my watches/fitness tracker as wrist protectors, as they stop my wrist from being scratched the many, many times it hits a wall, a floor (working on my car/bike), etc.

Uh. Yeah, I like the backlight because it means I can read the watch in the dark. Never thought of it as ugly.

Becky Stern I got my husband the 6 sapphire and the screen has the backlight but it doesn’t turn the screen blue. i’d share a pic side by side if I could lol I really love the watch but it’s disappointing that there’s such a difference in the two watches I have.

Bit late to the party. But I’m asking advice , I want a smart watch , I’ve never owned one. Hubby currently has an Apple smart watch but they Ugly af. I’m torn with this or the fossil gen 5 . I assumed they all did what the Apple Watch does then after watching 1000’s of reviews I figured out they don’t 😭😭😭😭 I have an iPhone and I workout . Not a fitness fanatic but I still like a work out 4 times a week. I love the look of this gen 5 or the garmin Vivo. BUT my question is , is there any point getting these watches when nearly everyone is saying wear OS is crap, and lags on opening up. Plus I want to be able to answer my phone and read my iMessages when they come through . Any input would be appreciated xx ( I need it to last 12 hours )
