Oh my gosh another great garden video. Thanks so much for sharing. I know there’s always trials and tribulations in the garden like like, but we would not want it any other way. Would we? Life is a struggle, but was we’re struggling through whatever it is then we see the end of the tunnel how beautiful it can be. Thanks so much my dear friend for another inspirational conversation and video

Yes, little daisies came up everywhere. It’s so crazy. They are starting to fade away now so I’m going to let them go to seed and scatter them in my garden again for next year. That is so crazy about the broccoli bolting, right? I’m glad I’m not the only one this happened to. must’ve been a fluke in the weather conditions. That’s the only thing I can think of. Or God telling us that He is still in control and we are not. A humble reminder that we don’t control nature. Thank you for your comment. I appreciate you taking the time to stop by.❤️👍🥰Liz

Good morning Barbara, and thank you for your vote of confidence on my new flower bed. My bolted broccoli will forever be a mystery. I had so much of it planted, and the foliage was so healthy. The only thing I can think of is the freezing temperatures and ice cold nights? I was impatient, planting it so early in the season so lesson learned. I hope you have a beautiful Easter and thanks again for stopping by. 🥰❤️👍Liz

Hello Barbara, did you have any little baby chicks for Easter? I was wondering if your silky sits on all the eggs. How funny would that be if some other breeds hatched and a little silky mom tries to take care of them all. Yes, you are right broody hens sure are fun. I do not have a rooster yet my Americana hen gets very protective when they sit on their eggs. I did not think a hen could become broody if the eggs are not fertile. Very interesting. I hope you had a beautiful Easter and thank you for visiting me.👍🥰❤️Liz

@@GardenHappy Hi Liz, we had a lovely Easter day. it rained most of the day and we are always thrilled when it rains. We are unusually green for a desert this year. All sorts of wild flowers are up and blooming. I went out and tried to pluck my little white hen off of her mound of eggs. She growled at me so I left her alone. I did not see any signs of little chicks but I think it's about time for one to hatch... 21 days, right? I have the chicken palace separated in half and she lives with all silkies. I have 8 silky roosters so I know she is on fertile eggs. I saw another silky hen laying an egg near her so figured that's how she's accumulated so many eggs... she has help from at least one other hen. With her plucky personality I believe she could raise any type of chick. My big girls (Buff Orpington, Barred Rock, and Americana) don't have a rooster to breed with. I keep a silky rooster with them but he is too small to be successful. lol

“Plucky” would have been a good name for your little hen, since she has become very plucy! Hahaha we had beautiful weather for Easter. However, last night we had another storm come through with lightning and thunder. It was actually very exciting to watch. Wow I had no idea you had so many roosters. I bet you’re Garden sounds so wonderful with all the roosters crowing. We both know they crow all day. I love listening to the little miniature roosters crow. They sound so cute. How fun!!! Thank you for your reply Barbara it’s always fun to talk to you.🌸😁🐔Liz

You're welcome! I learned this when a local organic farm stand started selling them along with "cauli greens," too. In TX, it frequently gets too hot for things like broc to make heads. We sautee them like other greens, add to soups, little ones can be used in salads, but I'm sensitive to raw broc so I cook them. LOVE your little garden--so inspirational! @@GardenHappy
