I think it's pretty pog Great job!
Sounds like the lesson is to just make stuff and get it out there, even with all its faults. I’ve been a web developer for over a decade and when I look back at code I wrote in the mid 2000s I often cringe, but also feel a sense of pride that I did something pretty cool.

That's a great way to put it! :D
What works with this format is that even though two creators can both do "critiques of my own games," it stays fresh and original as not only can they offer different perspectives on game design, but also they inherently cover different games.

You've quickly become one of my favorite developers to watch. You've grown in an insanely short time, and it's really cool to see, and I find it inspiring. Keep it up man, you're doing awesome! Blizzard Blowout 64 is so cool..you really managed to capture the feel of an old N64 game :D

Hey! I've been binge-watching your videos, and I love your content! You've almost single-handedly pushed me into taking up game-dev (using Godot) myself! I really like the look and gameplay of your maze game. It's very derpy lol. I was wondering how you managed to achieve the look of Blizzard Blowout? I feel like many N64 imitations are very blurry, which may be authentic, but I like how crisp and pixely but not too pixely it is!

@@Goodgis I was referring to the second game, the action one. The one with the duck with the red bandana. I am unfamiliar with how games are made but I am familiar with coding. I am assuming you created your own art sprite for the game? I was just curious if you used a photo shop or illustrator for the art work is all. Also, I am considering making my first game given a time frame of 3 to 4 months. Unfortunately, I have lots of work to do with JavaScript and improving my skills also with CSS. But I figured around Novemberish I will start by using a framework called three.js or maybe I may start smaller with something which is built into HTML called HTML canvas and with canvas your able to make build 2D games as long as your familiar with x and y angles and key methods which are built into HTML and JavaScript. Also, with three.js your able to make 3D games using the browser which I find amazing.

Your Games SUCKED! Just Joking Lol, can't say anything if I haven't made games similar myself (Which I have not so |= ). I think the Calamari Madness Arcade game could be really cool if it was similar to Space Invaders but as a side scroller, Giving the enemies special differences like the snail is slower but tanky, small fish are fast but squishy, and big fish move at normal speed but have bigger hit damage hitboxes. Bosses could be like a Hammerhead shark that has a large hitbox but also damage hitbox a lot of health and with a special ability to charge at a fast speed towards the player you know the basic boss mechanics and after each level, the next boss would have 1 more ability than the previous one. Eeel electric dome and a tail sweep attack, Stingray Stun attack, Electric Dome, and cloak ability ect. Don't add too many specials for the bosses and even reuse somewhere it makes since but spice them up just a tiny bit. You could also have it to where the kracken is the final boss lol. It would also be cool to have certain acheivments/actions done in boss fights unlock new characters along with a point system where you can use points earned from defeating bosses to upgrading characters the player already has. Well sorry for the paragraph but just some spitball ideas if you decide to work on the game again or for a sequal thanks for reading!
