An unbiased video but it doesn't help if you assume too often instead of testing. For instance comparing these 2 as if you compared a MacBook and a Windows Laptop regarding the battery usage is not a good idea. The battery percentage on iPhones and iPads stay for a long time at 100%. This is the reason why you had 99% vs. 95% after your first test. But in real life usage several reviewers confirmed that the S9 Ultra lasts during a typical day up to a few hours longer than the M2 iPad Pro 12.9, unlike your "probably" statement..

“Real life” usage is as varied as the tasks performed on these devices. I can guarantee that in some cases, the M2 will last longer. In others, the S9 will last longer. “Probably” is a fair assessment in the real world. Perhaps not so much in a controlled environment.

@@arvandvarahram as i stated, depending on the use in the real world, the iPad Pro will have a longer battery life and sometimes the S9 will have a longer battery life. Sometimes, one to the other may have a shorter life. That’s the real world! This is the “probably” I’m talking about. Or perhaps to hone it in to a finer point, unless everything was set-up in a controlled environment, you can perhaps make the point that the S9 can last as long or longer than the iPad Pro. However, controlled environments do not represent the real world. So, one or more possible scenarios would “probably” dictate that the iPad Pro would have longer battery life. That’s the point you’re missing. You can’t generalize your opinion based on the outcome of a handful of reviewers. That’s what you’re doing and it simply doesn’t represent the overall usage of these tablets by your average user.

Im pretty much device neutral and use both iOS/Android devices. That being said, the S9 and Samsung Android OS itself is solid and has better functionality/flexibility. iPad OS still has a ways to go when it comes to multitasking. I know quite a few folks whom use this in their streaming studios for chat/stream monitoring. Price point for the S9 Ultra is also a better option as well.

Great comparism. The battery part is interesting because my tab 8 ultra gives me better battry than my M1 ipad pro.The samsung Galaxy eco system matches the apple eco system if you have a samsung laptop, phone, tab, buds, watch, tracker etc. It's is truely underrated. Created by Ella on KZread just did a good video that will open alot of eyes to the samsung eco system. The advantage is it does not lock you down but abit more flexible.

My M1 iPad pro battery life has never been very good. I am watching this video as I have had yet another iPad go bad and need to replace. I think after 8 that have gone bad, I am starting to entertain Samsung Galaxy. Problem is, I have Apple TV :(. But can't afford to buy a new iPad every year or 2.

but there is one thing you need to keep in my mind...no matter how good samsung product are...after 2 year or 1 year the devices start to lag a bit ....and you can feel the lag....but in apple products.......there is no lag......even after 2 or 3 years the device still feels new.....

@satvikdixit3820 hard for me to know as I have never had an ipad last more than 2 years. Typically have purchased the pros. I have had 8 fail, so finally decided to try out a samsung tablet (8 ultra). Galaxy tab 9 already out, but for $520 i thought it was time to give it a go since my experience with ipad reliability has been terrible. Figured why not. Tablet is fast enough, and the OLED screen is fantastic. I also really like the wider screen since I am into more media consumption. Also, until buying this Galaxy s8 ultra, I didn't realize how bad IOS was at multitasking. Apple needs to make changes in this area. I also forgot how nice it was to configure the tablet the way I wanted instead of apple telling me what I should want. I do miss the way the iPad interacted with my apple TV but so far it has been worth the trade off.

I have both... My Samsung has much better battery life than the iPad... My ultra doesn't have 5g with Verizon... My s8+ does... I find myself moreso leaning towards my Samsung... To the point I'm thinking about selling the iPad... It's not bad it's just that the Samsung is more day to day and laptop replaceable...

Great video! Adding the cost of the Apple Pencil (vs. Samsung's inluded S-Pen) would be a more fair price comparison. Ultimately, it really comes down to the ecosystem.

As an artist the larger the screen the better! Both are lovely devices. My main workflow is vector based with fresco/Illustrator and sometimes Affinity designer. Android lacks any decent vector apps, so the choice is easy for me although i would love a larger screen.

Have a gen 5 ipad pro 12.9 and just bought the Ultra on sale through Samsung for $717 and the 512gb model at that. This thing is a steal compared to thr ipad and cant wait to dive in!!

The Ultra S9 Ultra5G was not offered in the US, which is why I bought an S9+. IF 5G is offered on the S10 Ultra in the US, I will buy it.

I got the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4 Inch and trust me when i say it, it surpasses both of them.... It's got Xiaomi HyperOS and it's a whole new experience... Got 16+8GB RAM, Snapdragon 8Gen2, 1TB Storage, 3k 144hz display, a stylus and a keyboard similar to Samsung trackpad one and it's phenomenal... Sadly it's only launched in China so you have to get it from there if you got some friend or loved one there... And yes, it works globally, Playstore and everything works flawlessly.. Just set ur launguage to English when you power it on for the first time

Was considering s9 ultra as a laptop replacement for travels as it’s nice big oled screen for media and simple keyboard would do just fine if needed to do something for work but now this video prompt me to check if the app I’m using for remote access is available - Jump desktop - and it isn’t!!! That’s a shame. Tried many remote clients and JD was best by far.

17:20 tbf the tablet did a lot more work faster for that 4% difference.

seems that most people in the comments have both devices anyway :). I just got me a S9 Fe plus 5G and can't wait for it to be delivered. I am so deep into the apple eco system from iPhone 14 Pro Max, Mac mini M1, watch SE, MacBook Air M2 and iPad Pro M2 so this tablet will be a fresh of fresh air to test new waters :D

Another thing is that Graphics benchmarks on Apple devices dont really compare well with android devices because the Graphics API they use is different. Android uses Vulkan or OpenCL, whereas Apple devices use Metal. They are totally different and cannot really be compared.

great comparasion but lets not forget thet the ipad has the M2 chip inside, the same chip used for theyr macbooks . thats like putting a intel or amd chip in a samsung tablet. like you cant even compare those 2 things since the tab s9 has the snapdragon 8 gen 2 for galaxy , a chip made especialy for phones and tabs that is not as powerfull because of the apps it is running

It all depends what you want to do with it. If gaming is your thing. Samsung hands down

Oh, wow I didn't notice that on my Samsung phone and it is from 2019. Do you happen to that have experience happen to you? Well, on the apple side, well that is not true because a family member has an macbook pro laptop and that mac is like 10 years old and it lags and is slow as hell. I know because I've use to use it a bit and compared it to my laptop and desktop that I built myself.

yeah to be honest ive had my S7+ for a while 2 plus years and its not skipped a beat maybe they did back on the older updates but with the newer oneUI the software has made it feel smooth snappy and responsive. You are right if it was 2022 BUT now no. newer updates have basically keep it feeling mostly fresh

The notch is not acceptable on S9

what i really hate is how people make these videos n never do any gaming performance comparison like fortnite,cod mobile ect ,literally majority of people buying these kinds of tablets are GAMERS!!
