For anyone who thinks it is taking to long DO NOT GIVE UP AFTER 1 Minute. let your phone charge for about 30 min then try these steps again while your phone is still plugged in. My phone almost took 3 minutes for it to work, be patient.

DUDE! I woke up this morning and my phone was black. Like, Wesley Snipes black. I held the power button....nothing. I plugged it in....nothing. I tried different power cords plugged into multiple USB sockets (wall adapter, BluRay player, laptop, etc).....nothing. I pulled up your video and within three minutes....BAM! It wasn't doing it before I took it in the shower so I was thinking that there was still a tiny bit of water in my phone (it gave me a moisture warning after half an hour) so I might do what he said after eating dinner

You rock. I left my phone in my vehicle in really cold weather and the screen would not show display even after warming the phone up to room temperature. Did just what you said and Voila, phone is back in service. Thank you!!!!

I thought my phone had frozen, then the screen went black. I realized that it was not though because my hotspot was still working, and it would respond to "Ok Google". I waited until this morning, hoping that it would reset itself or something. I was so annoyed that it wouldn't work. I was just about to call Verizon when I thought to try KZread. This video was simple to the point without tons of unnecessary details. It worked! My phone was reset before the video ended. Thanks so much for coming to my rescue!

My GalaxyA51 has a black screen with a charge bolt in circle that is not really charging. I've tried the power and down button together, got the vibe and screen to come on, only to shut back down like it has no power to stay on. I've done it several times for 2 days, same. I also tried the power and up volume and got another screen with alot listed and left it on that for up to a few hrs as another video suggested if the other way didn't work thinking it might reboot (scared to push random suggestions in the list, and hoping not to lose my pics and data on it the same time) and nothing keeps it on when I power it up again and no charging works. I've used different cords, plugs and my computer. I can get it on, try to use my code to open it and before I canit powers back off. Frustrated.... :(

This was happening to me too! I taped down the volume down button first then the power button and left it for a half day. I took my phone is they said it was the screen then they said it was the mother board. Tape then down for a half day. Longer if needed

So my S8+ is having a similar issue except sometimes it turns on when pressing the Bixby button other times I have to use the lock button and other times I have to use the on screen home button a combination of these usually let's it turn on however if a call comes in none of these works any suggestions or will this fix my issues? The phone is about 6 months old

My screen is completely black but there is still a blue light on at the top on the left can you help?

I watched this after my S8+ had inexplicably gone completely black (I thought it had lost charge, but when I plugged it in, it did not start charging). I found this video online, and intially scoffed and laughed... but... this worked... I was ready to jump online and order another phone and be without a phone for a couple of days. Follow this guy's instructions, and (if your phone does not have some other physical issues like water damage, etc..) and it will work. Thanks bud. Joe

I ended up getting a new phone, I took it into the phone repair guy and he said it can only be fixed by Samsung and that I'd need to ship in to them. The Samsung rep played dumb on the when I called them and quoted me $400+ to fixed my phone..... 🙄 so disappointing because it literally has nothing to do with how we as a customer are with our phone but with their engineering defect.

Thank you so much my s8 plus just went black while I was looking at it. Mine did restart differently when I held those buttons. It gave me the option to do 4 things: normal restart, factory restart, and power off and one other I just chose normal restart and it came back on like nothing was ever wrong. Thought I was going to a repair shop tomorrow but thanks to this video I dont have to!

@@diaa1633 it turned out that the mother board died on my phone. Simply unbelievable for a two year old phone and the huge of money it cost. You think it would last longer then two years...
