OMG - I just went in my backyard with leash in hand - no dog - practicing gaiting around the ring, down and back, paying attention to my own 'correct' body language, and one of my four dogs actually followed along!! AWESOME!! (It was the dog I have been working with most recently.) Anyway, I am impressed at how much my own body positioning is communicating with my dog.

Eric, Is the flat link collar for training only? Do you transition them to a different collar to show in once they are moving well? I have learned so much from you. Amazing. Thanks. lani

I have a 4 yr old ridgeback who has been winning but I've come on a problem with distractions. he always wants to ck out the toy dogs who may be on tables outside the ring. another problem is wanting to play with some breeds while in group rings and crossing over in front of me to get to the other dog. I have started practicing head straight but is there anything else helpful? I run him on a paracord lead because a gold metal collar cuts him behind his ear. Thanks!

Different breeds are shown in different collars. Some are shown in martingales and some are shown in chain collars

The dog owns the center of the mat...do not fight over it...wear shoes with rubber soles so if you need to walk on cement, you do not slip.
