Crazy how he's top 5 surfers at Pipleline with about 3 hours total non competition time out there. I'd choose him over JJF out there because he's a machine.

He's some type of surfing genius, same with JJF. The heavier pipe gets, the more JJF becomes a favorite imo. But who knows, either surfer can surprise us.

Definitely a tricky day if the pros are having trouble. The way Medina and Italo handle Pipe though...it's like no big deal. Mahalos🤙

Medina is an absolute machine of a surfer, guy is unreal, if JJF and Medina are healthy and swells are reasonable throughout the tour i have one of them winning.

The key is that there is solid swell at each stop, like you said. Then we can see the best surfers separate themselves from the rest of the tour.

I always want JJF to take it. He's the best surfer ever, imo. So much is dependent on the swells during each event. The bigger the waves, the more likely JJF is to win 🤙

@@kasandrapurplekitten 100% Gabby and JJF are both talents that usually occur once in a generation. But here they are basically at the same age. Medina is insane, can't deny that. The way you can start to see differences is when you put them in bigger waves (triple over head +) and see how they approach the walls etc....would love to see JJF and Medina out at big haleiwa trading waves 🤙

@@OffDaLip Gabe rips no doubt, he just pulls some dirty stuff in the water. The JJF lays into big rock piles, or Margaret. That's Toledo's weakest surfing, waves of consequence. Remember Tahiti he didn't even catch a wave couple years ago.

tbh, Moana and Carissa are the only one's logging decent time out there. Molly was out that day, but didn't get any waves. Also, Tatiana got a good one that day, so she would push it if the women got sent out in some heavy surf. And Erin Brooks was impressive earlier in the year. Unfortunately Erin and Moana aren't on tour though. Who's your pick for the Women's Pipe Pro?
