John's cannot even be compared to Gabriel's. Gabriel did so many pumps where as John was basically over one foam ball and out. If John's wave was a 9, if Gabe made his wave, it was a 15.

While Medina was the leader of the pack, Medina & John are so rare in being two surfers in the same generation that are two of the greatest surfers of all time.
Fato é que logo depois, na final, Florence viveu com ĺtalo a mesma experiência que Medina teve nessa bateria com Florence, até Combo rolou para os dois. Enfim, tentaram defininir a bateria na primeira onda, poderia ter dado certo, mas não deu... Grandes surfistas que vão ao limite. Vamos aguardar o duelo de titãs em Paris. Parabéns ao Ítalo, Medina e Florence, mandaram muito bem...

Kelly's retired, but pro surfing is in good hands with those two. Both rippers went for it and delivered an amazing heat.

gabriel medina continua sendo o cara a ser batido nos campeonatos. jj florence tem o surf mais bonito e no free surf continua a ser o cara a ser batido. em resumo os dois dao show. sobre a bateria , a primeira onda do medina ,mesmo ele caindo no final , eu como juiz teria dado um 9.99 pontos e so nao daria o 10 por causa de sua queda no final . a sua onda com maior pontuacao merecia uma nota maior que os juizes deram. o resultado teria sido a vitoria do medina. acho que esse seria o resultado justo. sou super fa do surf do jj florence e como falei, acho o surf mais bonito que tem ate esse momento, jj florence no free surf com condicoes favoraveis e principalmente com ondas grandes , ainda continua sendo o rei do surf atual , ele entrega a quem lhe assiste , verdadeiros espetaculos de surf .

@@bikerboy2221 When I said that I would give 9.99 points, it was just to not give a 10 because he fell at the exit of the tube, but in a way he left, I started surfing when I was 13 years old in 1975 at Arpoador beach, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

If Gabe cames out of that first wave no question he would got a perfect 10. That wave was spitting and screaming 10s all over it. Shamefully he couldn't handle that foamball in the very very end of it. But he cruises the entire reef barreled like a champ.

Damn, medina teletransported a little too short in the First one. Adjust the machine to a cuple more feets for the olympics.
gabriel medina continues to be the guy to beat in the championships. jj florence has the most beautiful surfing and in free surfing he continues to be the guy to beat. in short, they both put on a show. About the heat, Medina's first wave, even though he fell at the end, as a judge I would have given him 9.99 points and I wouldn't have given him 10 because of his fall at the end. Your highest scoring wave deserved a higher score than the judges gave it. The result would have been Medina's victory. I think that would be the fair result. I'm a huge fan of JJ Florence's surfing and as I said, I think it's the most beautiful surfing it's had so far, JJ Florence in free surfing with favorable conditions and especially with big waves, he still remains the king of current surfing, he delivers to whoever Watch real surfing spectacles.

A wsl é uma vergonha, da uma nota acima de 9 pontos ao John Jonh no intuito de tirar o Medina da disputa do seu quarto título mundial. Esses juízes são uma verdadeira vergonha.
Don't count if you don't make the wave. No such thing as almost a 10 if you fall off. John John won the heat hands down. Madina complains quite alot

Definitely been underscored a lot in the past two or three years but yeah there’s been moments where he prob got more of score than he should have gotten but almost always deserves the win
