Was only 5 years old during USA 94. First time I saw Batigol was at France 98. Him and Rui Costa made me fall in love with Fiorentina. Batigol was phenomenal ❤️

I think he did what he could. Injuries, unfortunately, shorten his career, which then led to his legs being nearly amputated. Now imagine if Maradona hadn't been suspended in 1994 for drug use. I think Argentina, with Batistuta, would've won that World Cup.

The greatest "numero 9" of the whole Argentinean futbol history.

He was nowhere near Ronaldo, Romário or Reinaldo (Atlético MG). And maybe Careca was a better player too. Suárez is better and Radamel Falcao also would be if he didn't get injured.
