The drawl strings in the front pocket are to line the knee pads up or down to place directly on your knees depending on the users body.

They're a copy of the crye G3s. The cord is to adjust the knee pads up or down to sit on the user's knee.

There a almost exact replica of crye g3 pants there going by yevhev now and there good

Those pants are pretty much a carbon copy of the Crye’s G3 combat pants, one of the best pants you can get and is a choice by SOCOM. You needed to do a field testing of the pants to know if they hold well or not. Granted if you’re just looking for regular day to day pants, those aren’t it as the pockets and cinch strings have a purpose.

Appreciate you checking out my review of these tactical pants and for your feedback about them but I do slightly have to disagree with what you're saying. I have several members of my family in the armed forces and thanks to them I have been able to learn a lot about the choice of gear that they prefer and or supplied by the US government. Though these pants that I reviewed have similar features to that of what SOCOM may use they don't even come close to the quality that the military actually uses. These are cheap Chinese made pants that are just trying to copycat a tactical look. I own more pairs of pants from different brands than I care to admit from American companies who actually supply the government with clothing including SOCOM. And I mean no offense by this but you said I needed to field test these pants and I absolutely tested these pants out. As I said early in the video I couldn't even fit my hands into the front pockets while wearing them. No way would this style or design ever make it to the US military nor have I ever seen any of my family members where anything even close to this style of pants into combat so I'm sorry to say that you are wrong about anyone in special forces wearing this style of pants. Maybe another countries these pants work for them but I again have never seen any of the branches of the military here in the US wear pants that even come close to resembling this.

Where have you been for the last like 5-7 years where dudes were literally wearing these style of pants in the fucking desert of Afghanistan and Iraq?😂😂😂 Also I didn’t meant these pants literally being used in the military I was referring to the original “OG” G3 Combat Pants developed from Crye Precision. The same company that makes the AVS Plate carrier system widely used by SOF and the Rangers. Yes Rangers fall into the spectrum of SOF I’m aware. What I meant by field testing is to see how they hold up to the original as the originals are superb in every way just that the OGs cost 250-300$. That’s what I meant, not that you don’t like them because you can’t fit your hands in the pockets.

I just know that the pants I reviewed are so poorly made compared to the $100-200 pairs that I already own. I absolutely will be picking up a pair of the CRYE's to compare and hopefully many more in the coming years. Judging from this review you would also hate authentic Crye G3s. The most popular trousers in the SF community. Figured a guy who goes to the range would know a lot about these pants and all of its quality of life functions lol. The materials are lower on these but basically the things that you all pointed out from the draw strings, waist band, etc are a complete copy of the authentic G3s.

Bought a pair of G3KO's and am happy with initial fit and a wife's reaction with whitey tighties. Who knew?

Kinda Bizzar that you do Tactical things but do not know about Crye Precision.

To be fair I never claim to be an expert but I'd happily own pants by Crye Precision. These pants that I reviewed are just poorly made compared to name brands.

@@PNWoutdoorReviews pricey but the quality is amazing and the g1000 material can be waxed for more water resistance and wind proofing they are unbelievable I don't go in the bush without them

“Never came across pants like..” They are combat pants!! They are supposed to have lots of pockets. Oh, the string in the pocket is to adjust the hight of the knee pads. Obviously, you never wore combat pants or served in the military.

If I wouldn’t mind having to tell that Bill here made a mistake, well, I would recommend ordering the same exact pair from Tactical Distributors instead of from the Crye Precision website, reason why I said otherwise is that the company has to fulfill the orders for the US military and other branches worldwide, and even if you can order them as a civilian, you’re kind of screwed at that point because I’ve heard some people (civilians) say that their orders from Crye Precision take forever to be delivered to their homes as it takes about a year or so. So, if you’re wanting a pair of Crye G3 combat pants, stick with Tactical Distributors for ordering one, or Orbital Tactical, if you prefer a well-used pair, sizes may vary, and go for the GEN4 Airflex IMPACT kneepads for the best knee protection via the same websites I’ve mentioned, not the G3 kneepads since I’ve seen it pop out of the pants when some guys get themselves into unorthodox positions to where it does happen, but the new ones will not, and has a lot more padding. Also, the adjustable bungee cords on the dip pockets are meant to adjust the kneepad height to where your knees are (considering that everyone is different and often times not equal), and there are extra adjustable velcro points for you to have the knee protection conform around your leg. The ankle pockets can be used for storing some small items, be it a detonator or a hand grenade.

yup I think that some clothes these days are not made on Earth for humans , I bought a few tops where the pockets for your hands are not on the front like normal but on the sides practically on the back , you'd think that who ever designs these would be wearing clothes ...But maybe they are made by nude persons !
