G3 and G3 Atom Built In Tuner Update

Музыка

We're delighted to announce the Tuner Update for TheGigRig G3 and G3 Atom
In September 2021 we had an idea that a built in high quality tuner in TheGigRig G3/Atom might ne possible, but it would require a small mod.
We began installing this small mod in all units fromOctober 2021 just incase we could achieve this. To be more specific, the tuner mod is already installed in all units with serial numbers including and higher than;
G3 - 1775
Atom 1312
If your unit has a higher serial number, the only thing you need to activate the inbuilt tuner in G3 is the Tuner Software Update 440.syx
g3firmware.thegigrig.com/440.syx
If your unit has a LOWER serial number, do not panic. We'll happily mod your unit for you FOR FREE, all you need to do is get it to us.
If you'd like your unit modded to included that built in tuner you must organise it through the office. To ensure we get your unit and then get it back to you asap there are some forms to fill out. DO NOT just send your G3 back to us without going through our admin team, your unit may be delayed and you may be hit with extra charges and import duty.

I was pondering potential ideas for future updates or the next version...I think a programmable EQ that can be assigned anywhere in the signal path would be a POWERFUL tool. Making better already the best "making it sound right" utility pedal for pedalboard. Yes, it's not only a programable switcher, it is so much more. It would be really cool if the tuner is in a particular footswitch (say 1 for instance), and accesable by holding it down for a couple of seconds, or maybe by pressing two footswitches at the same time, just to free up all the presets. Not a big deal anyway but it could be really cool, specially in the atom where there are less footswitches. Amazing company and a legendary product!!!

    What a unit, hope to be able to put my hands on...one question, the tuner/aux loop is now free, but can i be reordered as any other loop or is simply the first one with fixed in and out gain? It's all the same in the atom, correct?

  • @chimera2518

    @chimera2518

    2 жыл бұрын

    It's pre- (pre-gain), you can't order the AUX loop which falls before the buffer/booster. This is the ideal loop for pedals that prefer unmolested/un-boosted guitar signal like germanium Fuzz pedals. Still 12 loops available for ordering...

  • @chimera2518

    No, I don't believe so, but you can use the return of a loop as a second input & keep the two signal paths separate through whatever other loops you select, then go to their own respective outputs.
