True story of guy walks in to rob a store, the getaway driver, bored, takes his pic in a photo booth, then robber comes out and they zom off. They were caught because the other guy forgot to collect pic from booth!

That was funny. :) I have a true life story for you. A bank in Raleigh N.C. was robbed by a guy driving a pink VW, who took the belt-line highway in an attempt to get away. I don't know about were you're from, but there aren't that many pink VWs running around. He was spotted and arrested in record time.

Looks like the car was the only one that got away. Unless, of course, the robbers turn state's evidence against the car, and the car spends the rest of its life in the impound yard.

Is this a referance to the advertisement of the beetle, in which the police catches the robbers using the the beetle because their car doesnt work. Then they regret not using a Volkswagen Käfer instead

This is a bit funny, but 50 years ago a man in my County decided to get off work and rob a bank while still wearing his company shirt with his name tag sewn on . He got away with the money and the police went to his home and got him .

In a way, this IS a call for people to buy a new car. The new car would be the equivalent to personal success. The old car definitely is not a success but a total failure.
