I like replacing hearse with hopeless nightmare instead of duress for the extra value potentially netted with pest control free scry.

This card, high noon, reminds me of an old combo I used to play in regular "paper" Magic. You had cards called Arcane Laboratory (blue enchantment) and Rule of Law (i think, white enchantment). which forced a single spell per turn (at four mana, however, much more expensive and no added benefit). You could however combo with isochron scepter + any countermagic, and simply counter almost any single spell they could cast (except uncounterables). good that in standard that is not possible anymore...that would be super frustrating....maybe something with Jin-gataxias?

I have liked Mardu control since 2013 when I joined Magic. There is something cool about it when you play without blue, without cpunterspellsand crazy CA. And I was little diosapointed with midrange domination. But maybe... Maybe I would give another shot for magic?
