Some corrections - - There's no battery in the do it all handle. It has a USB port so when it is attached to the Pocket 2, you can charge the P2 without having to take off the handle. - The control stick is included with the camera-only pack, as well as with the Creator Combo. - The function button has more functions than you mentioned. If pressed twice, it recenters the gimbal. If held down, it activates full gimbal lock mode until you releaase it. - The button to the right of the joystick cycles through the gimbal modes - Slow and fast follow refers to how quickly the gimbal follows handle movements. - ActiveTrack - the correct info concerning which modes it works in is as follows - ActiveTrack is disabled in the following scenarios: In FPV mode, shooting 4K/60fps video, shooting 4K @ 48/50/60fps video while wirelessly connected to DJI Mimo, shooting High Quality video at 4K/30fps, and shooting 8x slow motion. So you can use 4K30 in battery saver and still have ActiveTrack.

This is the most detailed tutorial i saw it on the web (may be there are more but i find only this). Thanks a lot for this effort. I just bought this pocket 2, and i was worried that i made a wrong decision. Its' because i use it with doitall handle + the extension rod i.e. to use it with my phone wireless-ly. This equipment goes hot within 5 minutes and turns off. Do you have any idea what i'm doing wrong? Just to clarify, the 'turning off' point: It's connection with the phone disconnects - and there is a message both on the gimbal and on the phone that the gimbal is hot. Phone gets disconnected. So, I'm actually amazed to see your video because you have pocket 2 on for quite some time and it's not getting hotter ( i mean to the extent that the connection gets turned off)

Thanks for your complements. Based on your description of the problem I believe your unit has factory defects and you should either exchange it or return it. Even at very high resolution and high quality recording it shouldn't turn off in 5 minutes unless you are shooing videos outdoor in 100+ degrees. I do know if you lower the quality the unit will operate much cooler, but what is the point of spending so much money on a camera that does not perform at it's highest quality sittings.

No problem, on most cameras the countdown is for Photo only because with video you can set the camera to record then walk in front of it and start talking. Then after that you can CUT the first part that you were walking in front of the camera and just leave the important parts of the video. DJI might add the timer video record as well on their future firmware updates if enough people request it.

Yes they are improving it in every firmware update patches that comes out. The latest patch had some bug fixes and some additional shortcuts were added. I will make another video with the latest firmware update.

I recommend this one, because GoPro 10 is a nice action camera but it doesn't have the 3 Axis Mechanical Gembal like this one. It only uses wide angle lens and optical image stabilization tot get steady shots.

The wireless microphone worked for me as far as 160 feet which is about 50 meters only when I was facing the camera. If I was walking away from the camera with the microphone wireless signal being blocked by my body the static started after 70 feet, which is about 21 meters. This test was done outdoors with direct line of sight. Indoors it worked good with one wall between the camera and mic but two walls it cuts off.

IS there any way to see the battery level on the Do-It All Handle and the Microphone Unit itself? So in essence one must charge all 3: 1.) The Pocket 2 itself 2.) The Do-It-All Handle 3.) The Microphone Unit Thank you TECHNOLOGY TIPS

My apologies I made a mistake on my original video by thinking that the microphone receiver has a battery inside. Later I realized that it powers from the Main battery inside the pocket 2. So the charging port on it is there just to transfer power to the main camera, since the camera's charging port is being blocked by the all in one receiver. I made this correction in the description of my video.

Thanks a lot for the extensive coverage. How does one transfer the files to a computer? Secondly, how does one eject the sd card from the camera?

No problem, to transfer you can either connect the USB cable that comes with it to your computer or simply take out the Micro SD card and put it in a card reader connected to your computer. To remove the Micro SD Card you push it IN and it will come out.

@@bibimbab9095 Yes, you can it comes with a small slide-in adapter that will go in the place of the joystick dongle and attaches to the phone. It comes with several types of dongles one is for iPhone the other one is for Phones with Micro USB Ports.

To detach it you have to first slide down the little button on the front of the Do-It-All unit, then pull the unit down.

Yes, you can but first, you need to update the firmware to the latest version because the original one had issues with HDR Mode.

I have little confusion that If I buy Pocket-2 without a combo then It will come 20mm wide-angle lens or not? What is the focal length of a fixed lens( If I do not buy a combo pack)?

I am not sure because I bought the combo pack, but the wide angel lens is cheap on eBay they are only $12 here is the link to it www.ebay.com/itm/224224577837 Also there is hardly noticeable difference between the wide angle and normal lens. It is not like the professional DSLR fish eye lenses.

It is hard to compare apples with oranges, because the GoPro 9 is an action camera and not a gembal camera like this is. So with this you get a very stable footage including facial tracking which you can't do with an Action Camera.

Do a firmware update and make sure the battery is good and not defective.

Hi, great video but at 5:35 when you say that you have to keep it 90 degrees, that’s not true. The camera either way will level itself too. That’s why it’s called a smart gimbal

the problem is if you are holding it at an angle that is way off to one side the gimbal will reach its max rotation trying to level it and it will still be off. So you will get a Gimbal Error code. This is also true with DJI Drones if you start the drone while holding it vertically.

On the same side as the screen at the very bottom there is a square sliding down button which will release the bottom. So you basically slide it down while pulling the bottom downwards.

Hi, yes you can shoot full screen pictures even if the LCD Display shows partial image, but this fix was after the first firmware update. When you shoot still shots choose the highest resolution and make sure you removed the protective plastic from the front of the camera lens.

I like your detail description of usage of the Version 2.. I ask, is it possible to..shoot video one clip, continuous? Thanks, at the moment with the current firmware every recording session is a separate video file. This is true with both the DJI Pocket 2 and all my DJI drones including Phantoms and Mavic drones. I hope they will fix this in future firmware updates. In one forum I studied that they say if you change the recording format from MP4 to MOV you will be able to, but I haven't tried that yet.

I have that feature in my mobile..it is a serious issue.. you walking talking front, you walling talking behind..then you front point n say look at that, then the scene, then the person next-to-you commenting face-on...then no need to in comp set-up-edit..same with face-to-face interviews..it's possibly a software update..eg, to tap the rec-button 1-2-3 times fast, or hold firm n count 1-2-3..then hold 1-2-3 to continue..

@@amadeusmoravac4238 Instead of taking it apart and voiding the warranty why not use a small battery bank along with the USB cable that came with this. Simply tap it on the base and it will even give you a better grip while recording.

How can I get sharp clear photos and videos in Pocket 2. I’m getting pretty soft poor quality photos and videos from pocket 2. What should I do to get excellent sharp 4K quality photo and videos. Thanks in advance!

Two things you need to do: First make sure you go to settings and chose Quality not Battery, second make sure to chose Full Auto Continuous Focus, and Auto White Balance

Thanks for the info, but you can still use it as a standalone gimbal camera without a phone. I never connect my phone to it, even though it is an iPhone and it is fully compatible.
