Came across this for my Garmin 200W but unfortunately the ribbon cable is different & that's what I wanted help with. The 200w has 3 ribbons & the smallest one for power to the screen is a nightmare to get back in - there must be a technique to it but don't know what it is!

Hi, Open Terminal by typing "Terminal" in the search bar. Then, enter the command defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles YES as an administrative user. Reinitialize Finder by rebooting or clicking Finder while holding Option and selecting Relaunch. This method can expose critical system files, so you can revert the setting by entering the same command with "NO" instead of "YES"

The issue is really that the command ERASE ALL USER DATA leaves the routes out. This is the situation. Called Garmin Iberia(Spain) they have no idea , I mean lost in space. Good morning! Just to let you know, I plugged in my Zumo to my Mac, opened the finder and Press Command + Shift + . (period) to make the hidden files appear. You can also do the same from inside the Documents, Applications, and Desktop folders. FYI . Gratefully😊😊

Hi, a defective battery pack should not effect the satellite reception, even with no battery at all the unit should work normally with external power. So I recommend that you not only replace the battery, but also use Garmin Webupdater.exe to do a firmware update along with GPS-Fix updater.

Hi, you need to download and install Garmin Mapsource software, with Maps of Europe on your computer. Then you have the option to pick a specific map and have them installed to a specific location or SD card.

Yes you can do it with both Apple, and Android devices. It doesn't have to be a phone it can be a tablet as well. The size of the local USB Flash Drive depends on number of days you would like store in your recording history. For example a 128GB Flash drive using 4 Cameras gives you about a month worth of event video storage. When the storage is full it will start recording over the oldest events first.

Why doesn’t anybody show how to view what has been recorded? How do you view what you’ve recorded? If you have an accident? How do you watch the accident on the camera? What does anybody show that?

Hi, a defective battery pack should not effect the satellite reception, even with no battery at all the unit should work normally with external power. So I recommend that you not only replace the battery, but also use Garmin Webupdater.exe to do a firmware update along with GPS-Fix updater.

Dear khalid, i need help about 396. I will be greatfull if you can help. I formatted internal device of unit. I tried everything, but non of tham works. at least now i can see the internal drive on pc. But i need an image file any of a new 396 device. Hi, you need to download and install Garmin Mapsource software, with Maps of Europe on your computer. Then you have the option to pick a specific map and have them installed to a specific location or SD card.

Yes you can do it with both Apple, and Android devices. It doesn't have to be a phone it can be a tablet as well. The size of the local USB Flash Drive depends on number of days you would like store in your recording history. For example a 128GB Flash drive using 4 Cameras gives you about a month worth of event video storage. When the storage is full it will start recording over the oldest events first.
