FULL VIDEO Reason and Theology's Michael Lofton Doubles Down On His Ignorance of Orthodoxy

In our previous installment, we went over many of Mr. Lofton’s pet arguments against the Orthodox Church and provided clips of him speaking in which he presented his objections followed by our responses. In this second video, we will continue responding to even more clips of his on additional topics.

For resources on the Armenian Church's acceptance of Chalcedon:
1) A brief outline is provided in Fr. John Meyendorff's book "Imperial Unity and Christian Division" p.102-109, 280-285, and 340-345.
2) Frend's "The Rise of the Monophysite Movement" p. 308-315 and random scattered mentions contained in the index provide less but overlapping details.
3) An ancient source that is nearly primary is Sebeo's "Armenian History" Chs. 19 & 41 and the commentary on ch. 41 on p. 228 of the LUP TTH edition. N.B. Sebeos refers to "Theodosiopoulos" by its Armenian name "Karin".

A few months ago Mr Lofton deleted your invitation to participate in discussion (200% time offer) which I placed under his video. He did it 3x and I was blocked by YT from commenting for 24 hours. Mr Lofton proved yet again that he is a coneman and his theology is pure propaganda, CNN style or worse.

Please pray for Michael Lofton he is applying for priesthood 🙏 He blocked me despite we're both Byzantine Catholics. Very sad how he burned bridges. Please invite Erick Ybarra to talk about Michael Lofton.

Ubi, do you have some advice for people looking into orthodoxy coming from a very culturally catholic/evangelical background? I live in Brazil, and my family is evangelical, but as you probably know latin america is pretty, well, latin. I have spent the last year or so learning and praying, and am convinced of Apostolic christianity, but i have a very difficult time choosing orthodoxy over catholicism, not because of theology or doctrine, but because i cannot help myself but see the orthodox churches as highly ethnic. I know it is not an actual problem, and the church is universal, but there isn't a "Brazillian Orthodox" church or community, only those from other countries, frequented by the most part by immigrants or the descendants of orthodox immigrants. I yearn to join the orthodox church, but i feel as if i'm leaving behind my cultural identity. Is it too much pride on my part?

Question: So if it’s the Georgian Church that continues the Armenian synod that accepted Chalcedon, why does the Georgian Church use the Byzantine rite liturgically and not the Armenian?
