Full Fish Room Tour & More FRY harvesting!! UPDATE VIDEO

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

Hi all!!
Happy new year! I hope 2022 brings a wave of success for you - both in the fish room and in every day life😁
This video is what I would classify as a long video, so definitely make sure you just ease into it and enjoy it.
I go through each tank, talk about it’s purpose or what it’s purpose is going to be and some general info about the fish I have in each one.
I have a slight feature of BN fry harvesting…again in this video because we have just been so successful lately with them.
I then go through my mom’s tank where my L397 plecos live and the red cover blue rim discus are growing out. I show you guys the two most beautiful pairs of Rams in this tank and some very adorable bumblebee gobies!
Make sure you watch right to the end! Please like, comment and SUBSCRIBE!
Thanks

You are doing fantastic with your husbandry of these fantastic fish. Such a wonderful gift to your mother for Mother’s Day! Cherish every moment my friend, may blessings continue to flow into your lives for all time🙏

Hi there, mate! Happy New Year to you too!! Covid is currently still quite an issue in Australia, however, the majority of the population are vaccinated and so the threat of covid seems to have subsided quite substantially. In terms of flower horns, I know there are a few very enthusiastic breeders in Australia that absolutely adore and are slightly crazy about their larger cichlids:)

Thanks for the tour Justin! I had a question for the professional ram breeder haha I have a pair that are attached at the hip always together for about 2 months now they were a bit young but have put on a lot of size since having them. I have a 29g with 6.8ph 13gh 4kh and 80 degrees. I’m just curious if they’d be able to breed in these conditions? I’ve been feeding lots of live bbs the female has a nice belly on her. If it’s not possible for them to breed in these conditions can it hurt her not being able to lay eggs? Thanks for any help also forgot to mention I live in Arizona and my lfs had them in hard water with a higher ph they seem very active and happy with beautiful bright colors!

Hi there, Nick! This is a great question and brings up a very good point. Rams are a lot more hardy than we think. Your parameters are fine for breeding. Now it's just a matter of stimulating the spawning through cold water changes and creating a lot of nice secluded spawning sites for them to choose. Welcome to the channel from Aus:)

What temperature °f do you have for your Rams? I currently have mine set at 68°-72°f And I’m wanting to ad Rams to it. Some have said that I would be better off with Apistogramas but I don’t know.
