I really dislike Jony J's attitude.. Minghao gave him such a beautiful speech and asked him whether or not he would partner up with him if he couldnt be with Gong Ge, and Jony literally said that if he cant be with Gong Ge, then it doesnt matter who he's with, insinuating that theyre all the same to him. I feel like he's really prejudiced against "idols" and think they're all the same/beneath him. This show is called "the collaboration" for a reason. It's to collaborate with different people to learn from each other and try new things. If he just wanted to be with Gong Ge, im sure he could have contacted him personally outside of the show. Why be on the show if he's so close minded?

But by skillset dont you mean being able to sing, dance and/or rap? and if so, isn't that a given for all artists to some degree? And even so, having the same skillset in no way dictates the individual's preference in terms of genre, performance, aesthetic etc. Otherwise their music would all sound the same. I get what you mean when it comes to kpop, because most of the music has that "kpop" feel to it, but the base concept often varies. You have hip-hop based groups with a kpop twist, indie groups with a kpop twist etc. The point is that no individual is the same, and will have their own set of ideas and views. The reason why some kpop songs sound the same is largely due to the company deciding what is marketable. All groups don't coincidentally have the same ideas or concepts.. Take seventeen for example. As a group they perform certain types of music, but that doesnt mean that Minghao or Jun's ideas always coincide with Seventeens ideas. There's Seventeens The8 and Jun, and then theres Minghao and Junhui the individuals. That is what this is all about. Trying new things to explore your own views and ideas through collaborations with other artists who each have their own views and ideas!

I myself was so scared of seeing what would happen if those two broke apart to work with others. and the ending scared me! What does Junhui mean "is the stage gonna be broken apart if i work with him" ?? What exactly happened to Yanan and him? I'm worried and scared, Junhui is so kind, i don't want him to get hurt (physically, mentally or emotionally lolol) but this is the most he's been talking! Even in Seventeen he doesn't speak that much, so Im super happy that he's voicing out his opinions and trying new things out of his comfort zone. I hope all goes well with him!

케일라Kaylah I feel u I see potential in him teaming up with longfei and minghao and for gong ge his style of arrangements have a very seductive feel and interesting at time dark feeling even though he adds alot of bass and tremble his arrangements suits zhennan's voice which is very seducing and mysterious I can also see long fei working well with him even that ballad guy forgot his name Eric I believe . I also see Jun working very well with Eric which will help in expand his vocals and if he were to team up with zhennan's I feel it would be amazing since Juns voice has an angelic feeling and like I mention zhennan's has a seductive voice that he can change in ranges . there so much possibilities and artist need to learn to adapt and find new eays to change there styles to grow vocally as well and even in music writing trying new genre's can open ur eyes and sound in helping to things u thought u couldn't do.

I understand Jony J’s decision but it isn’t really fair to any of the other contestants. It’s almost as if Jony J and Gong Ge are in their own show that has separate rules from everyone else. Don’t get me wrong I seriously love both Gong Ge and Jony J but it just feels wrong to stay with one person for the entirety of this show when in reality the show is called “The Collaboration” and meant for artists and singers to collaborate with multiple people to get new experiences. Jony J has the mindset where he is adamant on sticking with Gong Ge like glue and not giving the others a chance to show off their skill. Who knows maybe The8 or Zhennan has talent that Jony J could appreciate but he would never know since he isn’t giving them a chance for collaboration.

I see where youre coming from but from Jony J's POV the rest of the artists are very much not his style except for Gong Ge. Having younger artists like Minghao and Zhennan be asking for a collab really only benefits them as fans or artists wanting to expand. Gong Ge is the only one with experience and success as a hiphop/rap producer and songwriter making him the only contestant able to benefit Jony J. They are the only pair Jony J could be in where both people have a chance to grow and inspire each other. Even if the show is meant for collaborating, if Gong Ge and Jony J is the only collaboration they can freely create in, I think it might be better for both of them to stay together. (Just my thoughts on the episode~ no hate)

@@valentineyves Oh yeah I guess i didnt think about that lol but i guess since they have the opportunity on a big show to express their talent and showcase the value of both their solo stuff and collaborations it gives them a good chance to show a large audience the extent of their abilities rather than feeling like they have to maybe lower themselves to a less authentic side and have to just stick it out in an environment theyre already not fully comfortable in. Even so, I really do wanna see Jony J collab with Minghao or Zhennan but i guess we'll see what happens next episode :)

i dont really think so, i think he was nervous cause he didnt know he would get scared. in the haunted house he knew there were going to be jumpscares cause its a haunted house! he wasnt alone, which is why he was confused at what would happen and why he was getting nervous cause he had literally no idea what was going to happen.

looking back, i think I'm really glad Minghao had already overcame most of his troubles. He came on the show at the point when he started to actually live like himself. He started expressing himself more honestly. He no longer felt the need to stick to an image he didn't like. When he said to Jony, "I've been to many places...I don't have to give up who I am or what I've been doing." And I think that mentality was very important. If Minghao had talked to Jony J when he was more vulnerable and lost, I think he would've lost his confidence in being an idol and an overall performer. And worst case scenario, he might've left the idol industry for good. But it's because he already obtained this strong mentality about who he is as a person and an artist that he didn't give up being an idol just because his idol didn't like it. He was absolutely crushed, but i think that it wasn't that bad because he was no longer afraid to show emotions nor was he ashamed of his job. I'm so glad that Hao has such beautiful way of thinking. He truly lives life the way he wants. Sure there are rules and regulations, but he lives life the way he wants to. And I'm just glad he already had that mentality. If my idol told me that they would rather leave the show than to be partners and that they didn't like people who had my job, I'd be absolutely crushed. I'm just really glad Minghao had his friends on sight and had his friends in Korea to support him personally. He's very strong and I'm just glad that now in 2020, he has no problem trying to express himself. He's being more and more open with what he wants to express. I hope soon that he will have that solo stage he yearns for as well as keep being in seventeen where he completes their puzzle.

Yanan and Jiacheng's performance were amazing. I didn't know that song was so sad. Well,i think all of us could say that the lovers were ill-fated. 😭 waaa,makes me remembered of hwayugi! Oof i can't imagine myself being in the lovers shoes. *sobs in corner

I'm not even worrying abt Samuel and who his partner bcs even if dancing is his strongest point he never forced them to do it his style or more he's very understanding and will always cooperate to his partner. He did most of the choreography for 'super hot' on final stage pd101s2 and to cater to their group different skills in dancing he made it fun and simple and tbvh it's coming out as ICONIC. And in a Vietnam show he's singing with a girl who's not even a singer and he just made a simple dance moves to fit their performance on stage. Just do you Sammy bcs you're enough we're really proud of you 💗💗💗💗💗

Aww my heart broke for Samuel 😭 you can literally see the disappointment in his face when Minghao didn’t say yes for him. He just really wants to be partnered with him from the very start. I really hope that they can collab in the future episodes

my poor baby Samuel wanted to work with minghao since the beginning of the show ;(

I'm here for Minghao and Jun but my God Zhennan is adorable - I'd never heard of him before this show.

jiacheng and yanan's stage was so beautiful, it had me sHOOKT. those harmonies gave me goosebumps, holy crap.

Thank you so much for the subs 😭😭 First, I cried so hard with Junhao's performance, it was truly beautiful. Now the reason why I'm leaving a comment: Jony J is missing so many opportunities. I understand that he prefers Gong Ge and that they work together really well but he's kind of missing the point of this program, if he wants to work with him so bad then they could collab all they want outside of CYZJ. I don't mean to throw any hate at them, I appreciate Jony J and Gong Ge's music and decisions, but I just think they're being very close-minded, especially JJ after all the proposals, and when he said that everyone else was the same, he makes it look like he doesn't really care for what others have to offer and the amazing things they could produce together, like he already had this concept of them not being "good enough" or "compatible enough" and doesn't really bother to see if that's really true. I'm not saying he really thinks that way, but his words and actions give that impression. I really think it's a pity, rather than being mad at him, since many great things could've come from other collabs, but he didn't let it happen. Same with Gong Ge, his music made me go insane and I'm so glad that I discovered this program because I got to know his music, but I really wish he tried to step out of his comfort zone...

Undead Bunny exactlyyyy. JJ wanted to do things that he can't do with gong ge, but he didn't realize he can do more with the other contestants. Wish he could realized that.

Exactly what I was thinking. Its not like Gong Ge wouldn't want to work with him outside the show, he literally said he wanted to. Jony J is never going to have a chance to work with so many different talents at the same time again.

JunHao's performance really touched me i know them since 7 months i have seen most of the SEVENTEEN members side since they can express it on their shows but i never saw this side of Minghao and Jun side i knew that they also have been through a lot to become idol just like how SVT came through but never knew them saying or showing... i knew that Loving SEVENTEEN was never be wasted and but after seeing the8 and jun's side too i'm loving them even more.

Zhou Zhennan is really cute but he speaks like adult as well. Complicated but i like himmm so muchh!

Firstly - thank you CYZJ Subs team for your hard work on these episodes!! There are a lot of well-written comments about Jony J here, so I won't reiterate those, but I wanted to observe one thing: I think part of the problem here is the production style of CYZJ itself. Both Jony J and Gong Ge said early on that they were not told much about the show, to the point where they both were surprised and overwhelmed by the format upon arrival. That lack of information made it hard for them to integrate with the show in general. Then you have the complicated partner selection and switching, which they rely heavily on to add drama and pull viewers in. I do understand why they would choose to direct the show that way, but I think it results in a lot of emotional stress for both participants and viewers. I would have preferred a format that allowed them to change partners more easily and frequently, placing more emphasis on their stated goal: collaboration. My favorite moments are seeing each pair work on a song together, learning from each other and coming to a consensus. To me, that growing process and the resulting (amazing) performances are the true highlights.

I think part of it is that they are more independent (no company to represent them and ask questions) and part of it is that the format is similar to other idol programs, so even if the others didn't know anything they could adapt easily because it was an environment they were used to.

My biggest questions were why was Samuel put in show, where it would be so hard to communicate? It's just really strange. Also, why put two people on the show who so clearly do not fit some of the concepts, and do not want to? Also, a bit strange.

At around 52:00 is when Jun's Secret Room starts. For all those who want to keep rewatching that scene like me 😉

*It's seriously like watching a drama with second leads everywhere....* (I guess that's why my second lead syndrome is acting up so badly😂)

Samuel!! 😭I'm praying that he can get first place again for the next round. Poor him, he wants to partner up with Minghao but gets rejected. However I want him to show different kind of performance, so I actually think it's a good thing. I hope he can show off his vocal skill next time. 🤞🏻😊

It such a shame everyone choose not to work with Samuel. I think their decisions are just excuses not to be stuck with someone the can directly communicate with. Which is funny seeing as a couple of them are idols in another country.
