Probably the only Olympics closing ceremony to bring tears to my eyes. Amazing choreography, beautiful mix of Chinese and western elements in the show. Amazing emotions shown from the athletes and acknowledgement given to the volunteers, and the smiles from the ordinary Chinese on the streets. This Games has hopefully humanised the people of China who have always been subjected to being demonised by the western media. Congratulations to all athletes and we look forward to Italy in 2026!

well thank u soooo much...ur words mean so much to us...my friends and I worked for Olympic Channel as interns at Beijing2022 and we tried really hard to show the world what China actually looks like... it looks like our efforts weren't in vain... it feels like when we reach out and finally someone out there can relate to us w/o bias or sth...Again ...IMAGINE ALL THE PEOPLE LIVING IN LOVE&PEACE. Welcome to China if possible💞

Watched this with teary eyes from time to time, most magnificent, beautiful, warmest Olympics game and ceremony ever, even all the ice felt like melting 😆😆

First time watch ceremony from start until the end! First time watch ceremony that can make me cry, and The ONLY ceremony (for my opinion) that successfully delivered the true meaning of Olympics. Not because of how many Gold Medals you won, Its all people around the world different colors and races gather together and play sport peacefully. ONE WORLD

I love what Rui Tian said: "One world one family! I hope people living on this earth understand and really think deeply about it. No bias no hate no war, this world will be a paradise itself. Not I but WE. That’s the original spirit of Olympic."

@@user-bt5qg1fo2d they are not a professional choir. they are from a mountain village in Hebei province that was just lifted out of poverty a few years ago. A retired music teacher volunteered to teach music to children in this area. When she first arrived there, children didn't even know how to sing a song. But they improved very fast under her guidance. Director Zhang You chose them to sing at the opening and closing ceremonies as a tribute to the ordinary Chinese people, especially those in rural areas.

China has the best opening and closing ceremonies both for Summer and Winter Olympics - goosebumps

I knew both opening and closing ceremonies were going to be great because of what they managed to do in 2008, but they surpassed my expectations and of course I cried because of the beautiful stories told. 🥺 Thank you to all those that contributed! 🙏🏻

The final scene of the short film of the closing ceremony is the Ukrainian athlete hugging the Russian athlete, which is really touching, hoping for world peace❤, Well Done Beijing !

I really love 1:42:04 😢😭I have watched it again and again💓 It seem to tell us even though the Olympic Cauldron was extinguished, but the Olympic spirit and friendship between different countries will not extinguish with the Olympic Cauldron❤️It’s extremely touching..🥺

It was so funny when the host said a few times “请运动员们入座观礼” (“All athletes please sit and watch the ceremony”) but almost all of them still jumped around and even circled to dance:)))

I’ve never followed any Winter Olympics so close before but this one is so engaging, beautiful and heartwarming. The solidarity of athletes is inspirational especially at this trying times. What a beautiful ending for the Beijing Winter Olympic Games 2022. I should not forget this. This is my greatest memory in my entire life.

The closing ceremony I already saw again and again, especially the athletes march together with Ode to Joy, impressed on me, so cherished and emotional, one world one family, may world peaceful and hamonious like tonight, best wishes from China ❤️❤️❤️

A wounderful Olympic Games. The flashed displays of "One World" and "One Family" were unique. Congratulations to the Chinese people from New Zealand.

The final scene of the short film of the closing ceremony is the Ukrainian athlete hugging the Russian athlete, which is really touching, hoping for world peace.

This olympic closing ceremony is very touching and inspiring. Can feel the joy and happiness of the athletes. Very emotional.

This is the best Olympics Closing Ceremony I have ever watched. It is a master piece from the Movie Director Zhang Yimou. He really knows how to express Chinese style romantic. The whole closing ceremony is so exceptional and amazing! It totally touches people's heart!

Such a great ceremony, with love ❤️ and Olympic spirits. Thank you Beijing China 🇨🇳 and all the athletes！Congratulations! 🎉

And this is the start of the rise of winter sports in China. You have now 300 million people, especially millenial and generation Z ones, filling ski resorts and ice skating rinks to learn new sports such as snowboarding, skiing, speed skating, figure skating, biathlon, ice hockey and curling.

The Willow Twig at the Olympics Closing Ceremony shows the Chinese romance. The willow twig is a part of the willow tree, and in Chinese, the character for the willow tree is a homophone of the character liu(柳＝留), which means asking a person to stay when bidding farewell. Thus it symbolizes the sorrow of separation.

When the athletes enter in with the music of "Ode to Joy" , all athletes are very happy. One world is just One family at that moment.
