    Hi Phil, i'm wondering why you made Dustin wear that hypoxic mask. What benefits do you think will he get from that short time of hypoxia? Is it to get him more used to fatigue or to trigger some metabolic reactions like increasing VO2max?

  • @PhilDaruStrong

    @PhilDaruStrong

    4 жыл бұрын

    TheRoyalDoubleDs well doing the research and actually testing it on a few others I’ve seen that with RSH training were able to increase recoverability between bouts of work inside of sparring roughly a 30-40% drop in HR along with benefits of mitochondrial density and Phosphocreatine re-synthesis from what the literature shows but for me I’ve basically seen a good increase in quality of work and a faster recovery.

    How often do you train Dustin for Strength per week? I‘m struggling with finding the right sequencing for me, I could do fighttraining 4times a week or strengthtraining 4times, but not both, since I also got two jobs and a girlfriend. The thing is, with fighting 4times a week I can also stretch there, because my mobility is lagging big time. Now with strengthtraining could I stretch inbetween sets? That would help me out a lot. I think I will limit the total trainingsessions to 6 per week, so maybe 3Fighting and 3Strength, while incorporating mobility in both of them. (I also do Cardio every morning rotating HIIT and LISS daily).

    Why lay flat on the ground to do bench presses, is it better than plyometric pushups for explosive training? Also, any apps that train your reflex’s and mind such as what Dustin was training?

    It's called floor press and is used to develop the end range of motion of the benchpress. I guess it strengthens explosive strength in the punching.

    Coach, I'm wondering if some serious results in powerlifting/strongman along with good technique can give you serious advantages over opponent? I love hard weighlifting but I think I'm wasting too much training time on it. For example, now I'm off camp and I'm in my strength phase, so I do weighlifting 3 times per week, no wrestling/BJJ. Then, after 3 months when I get that increment in functional strength, I go to my wrestling/BJJ classes. Is it reasonable way to train? Thank you. P.S. My goal is to train during all my life.

    Еркин Токмагамбетов I’m a firm believer in training year round skills training to improve on technical movements with that being said off camp skills and tech training volume can be brought down and physical prep can be brought up to increase work capacity and overall fitness for camp

    The zercher box increase RFD due to static/relaxed overcome by dynamic methods of training it allows for the kinetic energy to travel into the box eliminating the stretch reflex response
