its just normal ddr3 sodimm (not dimm) ram. (dimm is for desktop, sodimm is for laptops)

Can i put a DDR4 4GB ram on it plus the DDR3 2GB that is on it already?

hmm answer is NO you should use the same DDR.. i your laptop is using DDR3.., you cant stick a DDR4.., therefore you should stick a DDR3 RAM too.. Note : DDR3 and DDR3L is different As well.. well Happy upgrading!

I've read on forums that you could also put in 16 GB RAM in that machine. 🤔😉

you can put that in, but the system won´t be able to use 16gb. max is 8gb
