I haven't seen this mentioned, but it does work with the 18-55 cinema zoom. I bought the lens knowing the cameras did not work with other manual focus lenses, but hoping the electronic contacts pass enough data to enable the feature. So happy it does! But I noticed you have to really nail the back focus setting before it is accurate. So some information from the lens seems to be used.

Hi There! I bought XS20 this past week, and honestly I’m currently struggling to get this camera to do what I want it to do. There’s not a lot of tutorials or guides to learn it. I found your channel and I see lot of great Fuji content but nothing specific to XS20. It would be reallly helpful if you could please make a detailed video to teach video AF on XS20 with all modes and functions. It’d be very helpful for lot of people like me

Hi! I've found you channel and I think its great. I am saving to get into the Fuji system. I have looked through your older vids, maybe I should say "in the process of". Lot's of truly helpful content! I have another system and your basic photo suggestions are a help regardless of system. As it's about principles we should use and skills to develop. One comparison I would like to see from you is this. XT5 image quality vs XT4. Comparison. 40mp with all the older lenses and no newer and try some 3rd party. I want to see sharpness and quality. I hear a lot about the old lenses make the 40 mp setting look fuzzy. They can't resolve 40 mp it's said. I know getting into the Fuji system that NEWER lenses won't and honestly may never be on my radar. Testing XT5 and XT4 with vintage lenses. If you have some. Would like to see that. An important test no one anywhere seems to have done. Compare XT5 images set to 20mp with XT4 images at 26mp. I think the difference may be minimal. I am trying to decide, obviously, between the cheaper XT4 and the XT5 with it's newer features. One thing that could maybe be a fast Friday. Isn't the XT5 supposed to have a mode that automatically behaves as a webcam when connected to a PC? No special software needed. Maybe show us how that works? Lastly, this feature on the XT5 is nice manual video focus assist but I want the XT5 series for the dials. I like my current camera but still after these years, I feel it's awkward with the whole PASM dial and so on. I honestly am not into video very much. Is there any photo assist tool that's similar for stills? Besides just the typical peeking. I'd be interested first in comparison of 20mp XT5 to 26mp XT4 images. Maybe others have a preference and can say. If the 20mp is close enough to the 26mp of the XT4, then maybe save longer and get the XT5. 40 mp is nice but I honestly don't NEED it. I am more interested in the XT5's newer features and of course it's getting software updates.which improve things. OH! WAIT!!! There is a video TEST comparison I do want to see. I do like to play with SlowMo video. 240 frames works well in XT4 but I saw some issues about increased noise and banding in some reviews a while back with the new sensors. I wonder if it's corrected now? I looked for other ways to contact you but there didn't seem to be any other than this. I normally do not ever sign into Goggle things so they can track and monitor my life. Thanks if you can get to any of those informative comparisons. Love your show and informative how tos!

This is an interesting feature, but I do wish it would still flash green when a fully manual lens is attached and critical focus has been reached. I personally find focus by wire lenses to be really weird and finicky to use and I couldn't imagine relying on one for focusing during footage

My Nikon DSLRs used to give me the Green Dot that told me that whatever I had under the active focus point was in focus and as I recall this worked great even with older Auto Indexed and modified AI manual focus lenses on my AF DSLR bodies. As much as I LOVE my Fuji cameras, the manual focus assist options with Fuji have always left me wishing that I had that definitive Nikon Green Dot available again. Even with my diopter, my 56 year old eyes have a VERY difficult time judging if my screen (with red highlights or digital fresnel simulation) is showing me an IN focus image or not. The green dot left no ambiguity at all. For this reason, I rarely use my MF lenses. on my Fujis for anything serious at all and that's a shame.
