Looking snappy! Dare I say it that Fujifilm how now caught up with the best from Sony and Canon? It wasn’t far behind before this firmware update.

I definitely think it’s on par with Sony and canon now for sure. I will need to play with it more to be sure. But for my needs it’s bloody excellent.

@@Ibz87 however, with Sony you can select a person and it sticks and won’t move to anyone else.

@@JLStreetDoc correct. Tracking feature on Sony is amazing. Let’s hope Fuji somehow adds this in. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Thanks for the test. I see that you own the Viltrox 33mm f1.4 also. How is the autofocusing performance on it with its own lens firmware, paired with the newest XH2s body firmware? There aren't any recent videos out there, so you'd definitely providing a need yet to be fulfilled!

No problem. Af speed was +5

Not a challenging test for the camera for sure, transitions could be smoother but I am sure that depends on your settings.

Yeh needs more testing. I’m planning on doing more testing with tracking moving subjects in photo mode soon.

Looks like it's tracking well, but at least with these settings Sony can still be much smoother. It's a big improvement though!

Still need more time playing with the custom af settings. I think the main improvement Fujifilm mentioned was in photo mode. I’m yet to try that.

@@itsaaronmiller I think the settings need to be perfected for what your trying to shoot. I think af speed needs to be turned down low for it to not be jumpy. A little more smoother

It's not going to be smooth at +5 AF speed. That lets the focus motor move with maximum torque. FYI the Fuji scale goes from -5 to +5 so an 11-point scale. If you want smooth you need -1 or lower

@@Vinterloft I had to watch this without sound but just assumed with the test he would have done video optimized settings. I’ll have to test it out and see how it is on my end with slower settings

İf you're going to spin at f 2.8 you have to get closer to the camera and further from the wall. My dof calculator tells me at 2 meters from the camera the whole picture will be in focus regardless. What focal length was that by the way? That would make a big difference too. Thanks
