At 12:40-12:56 when asked twice if she was involved, she ever so slightly nods to the first question and then clearly nods to the second time she was asked. At 13:50 when asked a simple question (with a negative answer) she clearly shakes her head. But she nodded when asked if she had been involved. In spite of no doubt endless preparation for those questions, her body language said YES. I wonder why lawyers don't rehearse head shakes with their clients on such vital questions.

Yes very noticible. Very difficult to hide body language in those circumstances even when you try to practise as it's involuntary. However, she didn't do that when asked about delivering the money. Her head shake was very exaggerated

She was on trial for murder... part of the evidence was that she appeared to be receiving a lot of cash payments that couldn't be accounted for... this question about tips and the IRS helped her by creating a reason for receiving so much cash.

However i have been in the psychology field for a decade and a half and have studied this for a long time. I am absolutely no expert but it is very telling in MOST (not all) but most people. Try it. It is a very weird feeling to nod yes while saying the word no.

KM has been there to hear all of the testimonies and evidence being presented. She can answer however it best fits her interest as well as the evidence. When asked by her attorney asked how much cash she would bring home on a “good night” she could’ve said any amount she wanted to because it’s not recorded anywhere.

Oh come on... there was roughly 2 years in between those statements. The statement about not knowing what kind of accident was referring to the day of the murder. The wiretap confrontation was years later. Obviously the mother was not confronted by the FBI on the day of the murder (they had no idea of the Latin Kings involvement yet either), and obviously there was no reward money yet. Just think about it a little first...

Watching her testimony again in anticipation for her re-trial in a couple weeks. She better get convicted this time, especially now that Charlie Adelson has been arrested for his involvement. Finally! I highly doubt the jury has seen the new recording with them that was released a little while ago, but hopefully prosecution uses it as evidence. If she is not convicted, the case against Charlie could very well fall apart which would be terrible.

No hun I believe they have the same jury. Ive noticed lately a lot of trials that have 2 defendants with completely different defense teams. To me it doesnt make any sense bc while trying to defend 1 of them they usually need to basically throw the other defendant under the bus so to speak to get their client off the hook but its hard to do that when the other defendant and their team are sitting right there and their team can cross the co-defendant as well. I think its stupid and sounds like they are between a rock and a hard place for their defense.... If this makes any sense.

And then the attorneys tried to call for a mistrial basically saying having them tried at the same time with the same jury was impossible and they cant give their client the BEST defense bc then they'd "ruin" the other teams defense so it's too difficult. I do think mcnabb and bell committed their crimes however the state definitely did not prove ANYTHING in that case and they were both given life sentences. Not smart to try at the same time with the same jury.

I know it was a long time ago. But, If she’s good friends with Charlie and she found out his brother in law was murdered and it is a huge story in the news, and then his family becomes suspects in the investigation, it feels like she would remember what she was doing the day she found out he was murdered and what she was doing the day it happened. I’m not a mind reader and everyone is different so that’s just my opinion but I think I would remember.

Katherine through her children's father under the bus as well as herself. Why did her Attorney allow her to do this. Her Attorneys worked for the Adelson's in this case. why would she let her client testify? This was the downfall of the case and the reason Mr. Markel's family will not see justice. I believe the Adelson's instigated this murder and there is plenty of proof.
