I think Katie and Charlie are the masterminds - he to 'fix' his sisters difficulties, and she to get some cash. >Kaite then arranged the hitman Gangster. I doubt the ex wife would do this - Danny was the father of her children. She suspects her brother was behind it. I doubt the mother arranged anything, but probably did give Charlie the courage to make the offer.

I watch a KZread channel- Crime Talk. They promote a website that you pay an amount of money to investigate someone’s background. It’s not very much per month and you can cancel anytime. I just discovered this case. So terribly sad about Dan. I hope some day Wendi and Donna go to jail.

This Adelson family is rich and entitled people, always used to getting their own way. That’s why this crime was committed. Wendi knew (she’s a lawyer and could have looked up the law) what the law was re custody arrangements (that she couldn’t take her kids out of the County willynilly and move so far away). Because her horrific mother and the rest of the family (sans her older brother) didn’t like the law, this man was killed.

Jess, description of the bump starts at 02:45 a controlled fbi action to get the folks involved in murder to start sweating a little and talking amongst each other. In short a man approached Charlie and Wendi mom and have her a sheet of paper attempting to extort I think $5000.00 payment for the killing. These wiretaps are very telling. Cops will jam up just about anyone they get in their head as "suspicious." Even if they have little or no real evidence. Sometimes even when there is not a consensus among law enforcement. If you hit the radar in certain cases and there isn't another suspect often the focus shifts away from searching for suspects at all. The prison system is full of people who can tell that story.

it was a blessing in disguise the 2nd trial pushed the prosecution to keep working on the Dulce Vita recordings. And where able to get part of it listenable. Which led to her final conviction and Charlies arrest. As I understood as soon as the IT guy made the recordings clear. The prosecutors ran, not walked to the grand jury to finally get him indicted and arrest warrant.

They had a celebration party for murder. How disgusting. She Wendi pukes at the party.

It’s funny how they keep Repeating them selves they sounds so guilty it’s obvious they were involved

I just hope these dentists see the inside of jail cells and the wife too. Those boys are going to grow up , see these, and hate them all for taking their loving father

The state said they didn't have probable cause without Katie connecting Charlie to the murder. There is circumstantial evidence, but they need a link to Charlie, and Katie won't flip yet--as if Katie's baby daddy would murder a guy he didn't no with no connection to him in anyway. Obviously Katie is the contractor who got her baby daddy for Charlie, Wendi and the disgusting mom. They are hoping to first get Katie convicted so she finally flips on Charlie for leniency. She's obviously willing to miss her kids growing up so far. She apparently won't flip unless/until she is convicted. Two foolish jurors on her last trial didn't vote guilty, so here we still are...

If the prosecutors offer Kathy Magbanua a false identity and relocate her to another State or country, she'll start to sing a tune you've never heard, She's scared of her safety and her children. not only that,,, the offer that the Adelsons to her that her children will be taken cared of by the Adelsons for the rest of their lives is something Magbanua can't refuse. This is just a ruse to convince her to deny her involvement with the murder-for-hire plot and free the Adelson family. Katie is guilty as sin. I don’t think Charlie ever knew that Katie used Garcia for the hit. He probably told her never to tell him the name of the hitman. He didn’t want to know. Katie’s biggest mistake, and I am sure Charlie would agree, was using someone so close to her to kill Dan Markel. If she used someone she didn’t know there would be another layer of insulation for Charlie.

Katie Magbanua opted to accept the offer given to her, Her children will be taken cared of for the rest of their lives because Katie can't provide them the same way as the Adelsons will. But this is just a ruse ! Once she remains in jail and the Adelson walk free, GOOD_BYE KATIE. There won't be a second trial for the Adelsons once they are acquitted

When you read her probable case affidavit you notice why she doesn't take the deal . So Katie thought if she got off that she would be set for the rest of her life . She was asking for a escalade and to be on the payroll for life .

Maybe unless they've moved on to another plan/victim and using code again? I think this is code but, talking about something else/different #/another scheme Similar to how TV or new TV or TV repair guy was referencing murder for hire or Dan's murder, or killing someone But, how is Katie involving Garcia without Garcia realizing this involves Charlie and or his family members and not necessarily Katie/her family? Where did she claim to know how this phone number and or letter exists without telling him what happened to Donna Adelson? Does Garcia even know who he's calling or why he's the one who needs to call for Donna's ransom/extortion letter? Isn't that awkward? What would Garcia have to say? Did Charlie or Katie think about that? Again, Garcia hates Charlie. So, what does Garcia believe this is about? Odd, that Charlie gets Katie to unknowingly get Garcia to put his name into the pot. Who is Charlie talking about? He tells Katie she sounded just like you? Yes, when she picked up the phone I thought it sounded like you or was you. Then he goes into this bathroom situation with Katie about flushing the problem. Which she thinks he's referencing someone going to the bathroom? Maybe. That's her claim. That's why it appears they moved on from just the bump telephone number situation. A different plan? Who's the girl with the similar voice as Katie? That has NOTHING to do with a letter.

I bet they're thankful for Charlie's expertise on everything even the ins and outs of undercover detective work - dress up a cop like a bum and sit him in some corner with earpieces like he's listening to music all day 😂

It’s clear as day Charlie is not telling her the full conversation between him and his mother, the agent clearly said what it was about when he gave her the paper he just didn’t tell Katie because he’s pickin and suspects she may be in on somebody trying to swindle more money out of him after the murder and he thinks she’s involved, why wouldn’t you just tell her the truth about his mother, if they are innocent, Katie would of responded differently as the undercover clearly said Katie and Tuto!

Exactly! Charlie was vague in the Dolce video because for all he knows Katie could have been cooperating with police to get his family to squeal. Katie was vague too, she knows who Tato is but didn't tell Charlie, oh, he was the driver for Tuto, a paid accomplice who received a nice chunk of your stapled 100s. They are both freakin' out and not trusting each other.

@@ladycymbeline exactly, I hope they get all of the family not just Charlie, it seems somewhat unfair justice was served for only some of them as the masterminds are still free, I think Katie may squeal to maybe reduce her life sentence, not sure if it’s possible, but if so I’m sure she will, for Luis I would of saved myself too from a life sentence by telling although he is guilty also, without his testimony there would not have been a case at all! So sad for Dan and his family🙏

By this time KBs phone had been taped by the cops. She was already cooperating. What was she offered in exchange? How was Charlies call to his mom taped? Watched some of 2nd trial.

The conversation between Charlie Adelsom and his Mom where he was trying to allay her fears and apprehensions it’s as if they had not caused a very tragic end of somebody’s life; WOW aus seemed sooo callous!!!!

I’ve personally never spoken to my mom and brother this much, just constantly. The fact that they can’t stay off the phone shows ALOT.

I don’t. She was very angry that he filed a motion to have someone sit in with her visits with the kids, because she was saying negative remarks to them about their father. She was furious and wanted him gone. Plus, she wanted her hateful witch daughter to move to Miami with the kids, even though the judge ruled against that since there was a 50/50 custody arrangement in effect. Wendi was livid;Donna was livid, ergo something had to be done with Dan. In comes sociopath Charlie to save the day and be the big hero.

Charlie's very unsure when he says to Katie, "I feel sure that my Mum said the guy mentioned your name". The guy CLEARLY said "You've been helping Katie out". They're all pretty flippant with the details, considering the severity of this situation.

So painfully obvious how Charlie is being so extra phony nice to Katie to keep her happy from getting weak or flipping, but she is a cold enough blooded criminal. What is the going theory as to why Katie won't flip after being in jail so long; she was obviously offered immunity, and you would think she would choose to be with her kids than in jail protecting Charlie, no matter how much he is paying her. Very strange, because they are both definitely guilty, along with Wendi and the Mom (Wendi is also involved since she tried to set up her ex-boyfriend as the suspect, setting the hit at the exact time her ex would be leaving the area of the crime to go to Tennessee so it would look like he was fleeing the scene along with motive). But what's up with Katie willing to stay in jail for years to protect Charlie. That's the biggest mystery of the case.

I think that Katie's lawyers have some connection with the Adelsons/their lawyers. Adelsons know that if Katie flips, they are really doomed so working hard to keep her out. Her lawyers are probably assuring her that they will get her off and based on her testimony during the trial and the way she talks in the wiretaps, she is fiery and defiant and thinks she can outsmart everyone, which did work somewhat during the last trial since 2 jurors didn't convict her. And prob why she thought she could get away with orchestrating the murder in the first place.

Katie is in love with Charlie or was. She was in love with his lifestyle and the life he could provide and with him. If they happen to get out of this murder mess, he would know Katie didn’t don’t sell him out and maybe he’d come back to her.

I think KM is in love with CA or certainly his lifestyle. If she doesn’t flip on him and they happen to get out of this mess-this is before her conviction and she was still believing Charlie’s bs-maybe he’d pay back her loyalty by being on his payroll indefinitely. I don’t know. There has to be something we don’t see.

I was just thinking how much money this case cost the State when there are so many poor, homeless, starving people. These murderers are monsters really and the impact is not just on the family (obviously the worst impact) but it filters down into every part of society, the taxes that are paid to fund these cases etc. I was also thinking that one should create jails out of mine dumps that are no longer functioning, so that they are living underground with no light, no contact with our planet.

My thinking is further than rather spending huge amounts on jail buildings we create them underground making our money work harder for us and put them in '''darkness'''where these monsters belong. This is just 1 case, I would imagine a lot of you on here watch these crime trials, they are countless, so many of them, all the tax money added up must run into hundreds of millions ... its shocking!

Agreed!!! I have always said criminals are treated better than Veterans, mentally ill and homeless. They have free shelter, food and water. Not to mention TV, computers etc.

That’s a bit of an old piece of information, dontcha think? Wiretaps go back decades. If you are conducting nefarious activities - texting, emails, phone calls, talks with outsiders, or thinking you’re safe from being bugged is common sense. Spies have used one time pads since WWII. They were encoded once and never used again. Why do you think the Zodiac wrote code letters? People are lazy and impatient. The biggest hurdle nowadays is forensics, DNA and cameras. Even when all the angles are worked out, people get caught. Yet, we forget that the majority of murders are not solved.
