This judge is amazing, he does a lot of the other big high profile trials...He has Parkinson’s disease...In one of the other trials I’ve watched with him, he discusses it because he had a cold on top of it so he talked with the jury apologizing and saying it might be hard to hear him because has Parkinson’s and also a slight cold that day....I love this judge...it was great to finally get the answer of just what it was that made his voice shake....He’s just top notch...He’s so fair, really listens, and truly has a heart...even for these gang bangers, he’s kind and polite to them....Lotta care inside that man’s soul ❤️🙏🏻

I thought the 2nd go around when he characterized it to mean “Federal Bureau of Intimidation” that the judge was gunna go ape sh*t. I understand WHY he (Decoste) is doing what he’s doing here, with the constant rhetorical questions and condescending tone- however, it was over the top. And he’s very lucky this judge (largely) took mercy on him- because he deserved to be brutally admonished by that point.

My dad was in the FBI back in the early 50s. I have always thought that the FBI held onto a certain form of professionalism that was well above what's normally found at the state or local levels. Even today, the FBI is well respected in the world of forensic work, identification, kidnapping, interstate flight and many others. But I wonder if they are getting too far flung in the cases they work on. That tends to muddle their high standards. We should have another law enforcement agency, don't create a new one but use an existing one, to help out on local cases like this. I understand it was all part of a Latin Kings RICO act investigation, but you get my point.

Or, Donna Adelson and Wendi Adelson. (After listening to the evidence just in this trial it is obvious Wendi's phone calls should have been monitored.) Charlie speaks to Donna and Donna speaks to Wendi but, we have no idea what's being exchanged. And, now that everyone knows the significance of Wendi's claim about TV's and hitmen and Jeffrey L. and TV repairman and TPD interview about Jeffrey L. …. and then Donna calls Charlie whispering about TV's, the letter and this TV will cost 5K and this involves you and me and I think you know what I'm talking about.

Because she knows nothing of the murder, Katie has no idea that Charlie, in phoning her, is fishing for information: Is this his hitman extorting money or is it an FBI sting? Katie and Sigfredo are both mentioned specifically by the "Undercover" and Charlie is well aware of this. He is desperate to know the source of the note which is why he pushes and pushes Katie to investigate. Katie, oblivious to the truth and increasingly concerned for her family's safety, is extremely reluctant to get involved in what she perceives as another family's problems

Classic case of Confirmation Bias. The FBI pulled the theory of Katherine being involved out of thin air. Then they interpreted the phone taps in a way that confirmed their beliefs I would say the very fact that Charlie called Katie at all proves she wasn't involved Unfortunately Charlie made both his mum and Katie look guilty with his calls, codes and secret meetings when in reality neither of them had anything to do with the murder

It is my opinion after studying this murder since 2014, that, sadly, Kathryn is involved and does have full knowledge. What is very sad is that the Dentist brother of Ms Adelson deliberately involved her and USED her. However $100,000.00 was involved. So they are all guilty- Charles Adelson, Kathryn M, her Garcia and the other jailbird glad for the money. The most evil murderous culprit is Adelson who hired the hitmen- had he not met KATHRYN, he would have found someone else to kill Markel. He himself moves in dubious circles and must know many criminals who deal in drugs; guns; money; plus dodgy business persons . I wonder if he ever had time to carry out Continuous Professional Development in Dentistry.?? One lesson we can take away is -do not be fooled by people with money. Eat cheap food rather than date scamp's. Many 'successful' businessmen are tricky, dodgy, law-breaking middle-class with no consciences.

Law enforcement's goal for the bump was to generate conversation between two co-conspirators in a murder-for-hire, but they achieved exactly the opposite What law enforcement get, what we hear in the wire taps and restaurant recording, is two people never once talking about the murder or related topics. Katie, obviously, because she wasn't involved, so has no knowledge of the murder, and Charlie thinks this is people extorting his family for reasons he can't work out Because Katie's name is mentioned by the undercover during the bump, Charlie has no understanding that the note, this guy (the undercover) is actually related to the murder of Dan Markel Law enforcement unknowingly framed Katie for the murder. It's a classic case of confirmation bias - create a theory and use corrupted "evidence" to fit that theory, thus convicting an innocent girl
