Mate, awesome video! Took notes while watching it & then had a crack at the brakes on my BA Ute this morning; went without a hitch due to all your tips & tricks; your mention all the different spanner/wrench sizes required etc really helped me prepare for the job too. Cheers!

mate you brakes must have been binding big time for the caliper to be that tight. There is no wear ridge on the rotor for it to grab that tight on removal either. You could have just taken the lid off the fluid reservoir too instead of undoing the bleed nipple. It's cleaner & you don't have to bleed the system as much afterwards.

  • @oneupthesleevecustomsautom2195

I like to always bleed as the fluid often trapped in calliper has been subject to the most heat. Good to let it out

Hey mate instead of unwinding the bleed valve and getting brake fluid everywhere/losing it are you able to just take the lid off the brake res in the engine bay like you do with the rear brakes to push piston back into place? Sorry if I don’t make sense just trying to figure out a way without touching that bleed valve

Its good practice to not push it backwards through the abs pump as it can damage it. Also it gets rid of the worst quality fluid

I just replaced my front and rear brakes discs and rotors. Instead of removing the guide bolts, i just removed the whole Caliper assembly (2 bolts 15mm), pushed the pistons back, slided new brake pads into the caliper assembly and slid the whole assembly with pads back on to the disc and bolted. I haven't driven the car yet. Is this gonna be a problem?

I just bought the car few weeks ago and a dodgy mechanic passed it in roadworthy inspection with bad brakes and rotors plus completely bent sway bar links. Now need to figure out grinding/rubbing noise from steering wheel(Not rack) and squeaking front left suspension. Not sure why on earth i bought a Ford, Lol.
