Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Classic Bronco

1st Generation Bronco
In this video we disassemble the front and rear end to see what parts are necessary to rebuild the units. We will install a TBP front disc brake kit in the coming weeks. This is just another step in the restoration process.

Very helpful. You know what you are doing and that makes everything deliberate and therefore easy to follow. You are a good teacher. Thanks, John

Really wish you had done and filmed all this 2-3 years ago before I rebuilt my '66 😀. Would have saved me hours and hours since you know much more than I did!! You should definitely attend Super Celebration. I attended my first one last year and will be back again in October. Hope to see you there!

Enjoying your channel. With a ‘71 bronco in the garage, it brings back memories and reminds of things I need to do. I did change my front hub nuts to the stage 8 single nut system, I really think it is better, easier and I do not worry about that locking washer slipping.

Bob, Thank you! I am not sure what the Tom's Bronco Disc conversion comes with. The stage 8 sounds like a good upgrade. Thanks for watching.

After rebuilding the Dana 20. And regearing the front and rear axles I can smell your shop from here... 😂. When I was taking the front cover off I saw blue RTV so thought the cover would be hard to get off. I tapped a putty knife in the seal and the cover flew off and covered me in gear oil... Lol

Great Video working on a 65 Bronco, removing axles and converting to disc brakes. I didnt know you had to remove rear axle first before removing.. gear thanks for the big tip.. was in a jam...

Yet another great episode. This is fantastic for me as I begin a 1973 restoration soon. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge and experiences. Somewhat similar, I am a scientist by day and do the gear head hobby when I can, but not at your level. Specific to this episode, I had a 67 F100 4x4, and the front axle also wore similarly with respect to that groove you showed us, and seals of any kind could not correct, so machining of some sort or replacement is needed or it will leak diff fluid until it drops below that level.

Thanks Brian. I am going to look into a fix and will let you all know what I do to make sure I don't get a leak. I don't like to do things twice so I will pay close attention to it. We appreciate you watching.

I understand 100%, I'm doing a "NEW" 1977 Bronco, finishing my 66 "SHELBY Convertible replica, 74 TR6-V6, V8 Volvo and can' t find anything in my garage anymore. I've redesigned the Bronco pedal assembly so the M/C is outboard and clears the Coyote or any other engine (Auto Only) and will be better that a factory installation. What engine will you be using in your Bronco? @@JasonJonieBuilds

Sounds like you have plenty to do too. LOL. Keep it up. We are using a mild 302 in the '66. The '78 will get something a little more fun. We have not made up our mind yet.

Watching the video , cause I Think my future has this lined up for me to do, Why you may ask, cause I thought the One 79 Ford bronco was lonely So I Bought A second for Parts Panels, (turns out to be better shape than mine) Minus the Axle Assembly. So before you buy more stuff for another project better off to know what's involved. Great video should help me in future. Man what was I thinking.

Chester, I did not order a rear disc kit. I had considered it but for the time being I think we will stay with the drums. This build is getting expensive quick. We will do it on the next one for sure. Thanks again for watching.

What product do recommend using to clean that sludge out of your differentials?

Dan, well honestly I use a little gasoline on the hard stuff and brake cleaner on the rest. I know that will get some folks upset but it is just how I learned to do it.

MustangRehab Thanks for sharing, my dad agrees with you actually. As to myself, first time doing anything like this, 66 from the ground up just like yours. I really appreciate your videos and don’t feel like any detail is too small or “something everyone knows” cause I for one don’t 😂 and need all the help I can get lol.
