I love the breeze from sea. That view from the windows of the ocean is stunning. I would have thought that the owner would live on the top floor. Just incredible! Damn! I want to get the Philippines right now, if I could have a place like this waiting for me. The video is very clear and one can see all the beautiful colors. This is really the paradise of my dreams! The Philippines is so beautiful. Sure, it has problems with infrastructure etc...but you cannot beat the incredible natural beauty of the place. This is what is called "living"!!

Electricity here is relatively cheap as it sources its power from renewable energy, the Palinpinon Geothermal Plant. What a beautiful beachfront villa with a spacious and verdant green yard. The fresh seabreeze eliminates the costly air-conditioner. The bougainvillea blooms pretty well in the Philippines.

Hi Alex, I thought that Mark looked familiar. When you showed his channel at the end of the video I remembered I found your channel through his interview about your life. What a beautiful place with really nice trees and landscaping for $600.00 a month. The man that owns the house must have a lot of extra money because he could probably get much more rent for the upper floor. I could see why he wants to stay there as long as possible and not buy something. With not being able to own land as a foreigner, it is a big disadvantage to buy a home. His Rottweiler seems like a really chill friendly dog. It is great that you built a friendship with Mark and that he invites you to his home for holidays and special parties.

The only bad thing about a no lease agreement (month to month)...you can be replaced at a drop of a hat. When people find out that you are only paying P30k for that property...they may be tempted to approach the owner with +P40k per month offer. Leases are often beneficial to the tenant as well...

@@jayneh2006 The Philippines is not a poor country but a developing country with a thriving economy! The average age of it's workforce is 25-30yrs old. It is becoming the call center capital of the world, taking away the #1 spot from India, as majority of Filipinos speak good English. The only major thorn of this country is its corrupt politicians and poor governance, sad to say. Try to visit the Philippines and see for yourself if it's really a poor country. I've travelled to Nepal, Tibet, Cambodia, Jordan, Egypt, Hungary and I can say we're better off than them....The Philippines is poised to become an upper middle income country by 2030-2035.....fingers crossed and if our politicians just stick to their plans 🤞🙏🤞

Many countries are now following the Philippines and other countries that don't allow foreigners to own lands, like the UK, Canada, and Australia. They are all suspending their laws that allow foreigners to own land because their citizens are having a hard time buying a house because of the high cost of real estate.
@truthhurtsalways4u
Жыл бұрын
its because of the Chinese Capitalists .they buy properties and businesses in Western countries .philippines may likely go to the opposite ,they may allow foreigners to own land ,but with certain limitations .
@JC0820
Жыл бұрын
@@truthhurtsalways4u Actually, the Philippines has long been strict about foreign land ownership because many of the lands are owned by indigenous people. And with the situation of the people in the country, where many Filipinos don't own land yet, it will not change even in 30-40 years from now, because if they allow foreigners to own land, the price of the land would just skyrocket overnight. Many places in the country are great vacation spots, and they will be in demand among foreigners seeking properties to build a vacation house in the country. If that happens, many Filipinos will have a hard time buying their own land because of a lack of money, while for foreigners, that is not the case.
@Alex_Kosh
Жыл бұрын
Yeah and other Filipinos would be happy to sell their property at higher price
Very nice to see how open and honest he is. A lot of Westerners here pretend to wealthy. Some people watching KZread for advise on living in the Philippines need to hear that you don't have to be wealthy to have a good life here. Your wealth will come from having a stress free life with everyday bringing an opportunity for a new adventure, or a lazy day doing nothing... The choice is yours! A lot of wealthy people can only dream of having that type of time.
