Bud you gotta do more of these

I used to "hunt" mice in an old barn I had. I used 22 mag shells and they were good to easily 10 to 12 feet. I liked them because they hit pretty hard, but didn't hurt anything behind the mouse.

They work great. No damage to the barn at all and lots of dead mice im sure.

That seems to hit a lot harder than I remember the 22 lr shot shells hitting.

The shells I was shooting in this video were .22 Magnum not .22lr

James Wiles, too many videos on this site advocating the shells use for things like opossums and stuff like that though. These were made for mice, rats, and snakes not the bigger pests. That being said, when used correctly they are devastating.

Thought you were gonna get a snake at the end.

Good to know they make 22.mag shotshells, I'll use them for snakes.

They also do the trick on carpenter bees. Good video

For a minute there I thought you were going to shoot the trout.

I seriously doubt they would be effective on fish. You're better off shooting them with a bow. Plus shooting fish with firearms isnt legal where I'm at.

( best little .22 shot shell I've used them for about everything that crawl or fly's ( bats) hawks !)

I tried these out of my 10/22, didn't work so well, so I go with Federal Game - Shok, much better and less expensive.

You think this would be effective on rattlesnakes? Even out of something like a snub nose revolver or a derringer?

at point blank range absolutely. the thing is the rifling really spreads that shot. you have to test how these kinds of specailty ammo shoot in your firearm. my revolver loves them, I get about 10 feet of range with a good spread. my rifle is hit and miss.

Short barrels work better than longer ones in some cases due to the dispersion of the shot from the rifling. I use it in a Hi Standard derringer for poisonous snakes that hang around too long. I load one shot and one hollow point.
