Well I am a huge fan of Hondo boots as well and I gotta say the new change to secure the pull hole stitching is a much needed improvement. The fit and feel of a traditionally made boot is second to none. Saddles in service looks to be a fantastic organization to get behind and support. Thanks for doing this Jeremiah 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Saddle and Service sounds like a great charity, doing some brilliant work and a perfect place for an extended test. Those Hondo boots look like a perfect tough stable working boot.

Great video! The therapy offered by horses is phenomenal. How it is offered to these men and women is incredible. What a stellar group putting this all together. Saddles and Service is a proper group to support. I love my Hondo tall tops. They are very comfortable and a nice looking boot. The price for this quality can’t be beat.

Bullhide it is awesome leather very durable and easy to take care of. I have a pair that is over 10 years old. They still look good might need a resole soon. My favorite everyday leather Bullhide and bison make up 50% of my collection.

When she talked about Wyoming, I believe they are going just on the other side of the mountain from me.

This is the best Hondo boot I’ve ever seen, I hope to win a pair like this for a dress boot, I can see myself wearing them with Dark Cinch’s or Ariats

Also, the only boots I wear cleaning up manure on the ranch these days are buckaroo boots from Hondo, Paul Bond, and Honcho Customs. They wear out in a year or so, I keep wearing them until the whole sole falls off, then get a new pair. I hate rubber boots, so this is my options.

These are awesome! My uncle had a pair of bullhides when I was younger & I still remember those things. Loved the look of the texture on the vamp!

My second pair of hondos is en route to me - and I have a pair of 2026's that I'm waiting to arrive at the store - should be a few months. Super excited!

People like to make fun of me a bit (never to my face though?) For rolling my jeans a little at the bottom, but it helps keep them out of the wet most of the time. I live in the PNW so there's always water around lol.

Thank you so much for this review! I actually have this boot on order with "The Cowboy's Choice" (one of the very few Canadian retailers in Hondo boots!) I fell in love with them as soon as I saw them on their website. Unfortunately they were sold out my size (9 1/2 D) but Corrie there added a pair to their order for me. I did manage to snag a pair of Hondo 4014 boots and I have fallen in love with Hondo and will not look elsewhere for Western boots in the future! Any Canadians reading this comment should really check out The Cowboy's Choice! Your review really has cemented my commitment to getting my hands on this style! Thanks again for your hard work on this channel!

I would NOT be able to get my foot down that long shaft. I’d get stuck for sure

I just got a Hondo pair(very similar to this one, 16” same shaft color and design albeit with round toe and all rubber outsole). It looks pretty sturdy, but the sizing is way off for my liking. I ordered an 11d(which fits me in lucchese’s, and my vintage Anderson Bean, essentially anything that tend to fit a brannock 11d will fit), and when I ‘managed’ to put these on they fit almost like a 12d. And I do stress ‘managed’ because these stove pipe boots have a pretty narrow instep to heel turn for which I needed a plastic bag lubed up in baby oil to successfully get my foot into the insole, and just when I thought I hit home, I find that the calves area are too small thus cutting off my circulation, which is also forcing the shaft to sag lower than what it should. If I retain the boots I will definitely have to have the calves widened, while I am pretty confident that a stretching the leather at the heel/instep will suffice for the foot turn. So, if you have muscular calves(brontosaurus), or a high instep, you may have to make a higher price adjustment to cover any professional alteration, or stick with anything under a 13” shaft height.

On these boots I use Bick 4 but on my nubuck bullhide Hondos I use scout distressed conditioner. Thanks for watching!
