Quick unrelated question: I've noticed in a few of your videos about Australia that you referred to them as the "Kangaroos", and I was just wondering where you got that nickname from? Australia cricket's never really been known by any nickname, asides the "Baggy greens" rarely, in reference to their famous caps.

It is a matter of truth.

The gap between the top nations & associate nations is glaringly vast. The ICC hasn’t done enough to promote cricket as a sport in multiple nations. World Cup is played between only a handful of countries & even then there are 2-3 minnows in the event.

Just a correction. It was only NZ that boycotted Kenya. West Indies played their last league match against Kenya in the 2003 world cup. The other team that lost its point was England who did not go to Zimbabwe citing security reasons.

Unfortunately as of 2024 Bangladesh is on its way to join Kenya, but good thing is growth of Afghanistan and Nepal, Afghanistan has become a test playing nation which is awesome, but at the same time its Astonishing to see downfall of World Cup winners - Sri Lanka, they have the talent and infrastructure but i don't know what has struck them, for Bangladesh there is a bigger reason to worry as fresh young talents are not coming up, outside Bangladesh their performance in miserable and once they loose their dominance at their home pitches, they might loose the test status

Kenya would have won the WC 2003 semis, India were 30-3 and 90-4 but Indian Captain Sourav Ganguly scored a century and took the match away from Kenya and thus Kenya was defeated

Can't wait to see how Uganda does in the world cup

Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 needs to work on their Cricket 🏏 Standards otherwise it will lose it's Test Status soon They are playing a 4-Day Test Match against England in 2025 Season

Compare Kenya after 2003 vs Ireland after 2007. I believe for racist reasons, the powers that be did not want an African nation with test status (you get the point, technically speaking). Steve Tikolo remains the greatest batsman that never played a Test Match. Ireland was treated like the chosen one after 2007, given bilateral ODI series opportunities. What did Kenya get after a 2003 Semi Final spot?

I think Kenya will come back. As nations get more industrialized and more money, they will more and more be able to compete in sporting events. We saw this in the FIFA World Cup. In 1930, most countries were either from South America or Europe. Today, Morocco, an African nation, made the Semis and I predict they could make the finals in 2026. In this year's Women's World Cup, the reason the USWNT lost is because everyone caught up to them, the same reason a lot of European countries aside from the Western ones don't perform as good as they used to. Hungary, the Czech Republic and Sweden used to be really good, but today, only Sweden stands and the reason Czech Republic and Hungary fell off is 1. Czechoslovakia split up and 2. everyone else (i.e. Brazil, Argentina, and other nations) got better. Europe used to dominate but now they have to share with South America and possibly Africa in the future. England and the West Indies used to be perennial contenders when the WC first started, but they did poorly this year, with West Indies not even qualifying, and this is starting to happen to Pakistan. The point is that, we'll see more and more poorer nations qualify for the World Cup. Kenya will be back, and but it will take a while and I also smell a Uganda WC qualification several years down the road.

They defeat India in 2001 tri series and scored 275 in semifinal too. But Afghanistan's performance in 2023 didn't get same credit as them. Afghanistan defeated England, Pakistan, srilanka and almost Australia. But Kenya won only one big game which is srilanka. In group stage. They won only srilanka. Bangladesh and Canada are easy to win. Newzealand didn't want to play with them. So with 16 points (4 songs) they qualified to super six. In super six, they defeat only zimbabwe and qualified to semi final. Since srilanka and newzealand were other two teams qualified from group B, Kenya gets two extra winning points as they already have it over in group stage. So Kenny's semi final is a luck. They made only one upset with srilanka which could be match fixing too. But Afghanistan's performance is the best in worldcup since India in 1983 and srilanka in 1996
