I disagree, it's not the government's job to feed able bodied adults. For those parents out there who depend on this kind of program to feed themselves and their children, you should have thought carefully before you became a parent. Children and raising a family costs alot of money. If you're currently on government assistance, think twice about having children. Tax dollars shouldn't be used for the raising of random, that's the job of those children's parents. My taxes shouldn't be raised because some young woman decides that she wants to be a single mother.

For the ones that truly need it for whatever reason can’t work. I have a disability and have been for many years.There are many that are getting food stamps that are just darn lazy. They Will only work if they like the job, or get the pay they deserve.I’m tired and sick of my country giving so much for free and I’m paying for it as many do. That’s why we gave the issues we have ! How many people are homeless but still have money for smokes or beer. I know many that receive help in one way or another snd have a car payment . Get there nails done , hair done but then need help for food. Look at the people at the malls shopping how many are collecting benefits in one way or another. And the media and city officials feed into this problem. There the ones that are making it worse.they have created a problem that now is out if control and the new generations are coming in expecting help in way or another .

Mine dropped $254 to $24 per month, my rent jumped $165 per month plus other expenses IF I'm lucky I have $145 a month left for gas, stamps, plates, vehicle repair.

Me and my wife simply spent regular when the bump up started and let it build up. So when our state went down to regular levels again we still had the extra to fall back on until we both got jobs and didn’t need it anymore. There was quite a bit still on the card when we turned it back in.

Pay people 15 dollars a hour so we can keep up with all these bills then we can pay for our own food this is not hard to fix stop throwing our money away on war we not in and maybe we can fix our own problem and what's crazy is I never got stamps but I understand

I can’t believe the schools were handing out breakfast and lunch during the shutdown. Gimme a break. Some POCs waiting in line to get into the grocery store told me that if the schools didn’t do that, “then the kids won’t get a lunch.” Uh, the parents don’t think it’s their responsibility to feed their kids lunch? I got the bump up. I knew it was temporary. I was slow to spend it and let it build up. My benefit return to normal months ago in my state. We're also having a problem where everybody's been cut off just because they're way behind. So I'm cut off also for a few months. A lot of people are panicking but I'm not. I used to buy it when things we're on sale and was able to save because I could buy more. My pantry is full and I still have money on my card because I am very careful. Actually it made all the difference having the extra. I didn't go hungry and I had money for things. Like vehicle registration and license. I'm an adult and I can take care of myself but the children ought not be cut. It's essential for the children to eat good food.

Yeah, I get embarrassed when I go to the Food Pantry places. Honestly, I don't like how the pantry workers keep sniffing and wiping their noses. I have been told before -- that they think we smell. And, they say that you can smell "The Poor" (like me) from a mile away. I don't think I stink, because I do take baths. Just maybe they have learned how to smell the difference between rich people and poor people. Who knows? It might be possible to smell if someone is rich, I guess, I don't know.

I feel the decrease happened in order to take care of the immigrants. After all, they were promised a lot of help. I worked hard my entire life and worked 5 additional years when I should have been on disability. Eventually I couldn't work anymore and had to take the disability. $1,090 a month. Rent $920. Snap $23. With several health issues I am looking for a job I can physically do. I have one lung, osteoarthritis, emphysema to name the worst. Since I haven't worked in a few years I can't find work. It's getting tough and going to get worse for us older people on disability. This administration is so busy taking care of the rest of the world that we now have to suffer. I get so frustrated but it's out of my control. I'm sorry for the long post but I really needed this rant. I'm sure a lot of you are in my same situation.

My suggestion:. Stop spending money on fancy hairdos, take care of your fingernails yourself, start cooking from scratch, stop going to fast food restaurants, then you don't need any free foods paid for by working taxpayers. That's what I do, it works, you may even be able to put some money into savings.

There's a way to make it up and it's like by taking away from the military budget (federal spending) of sending money over to you came and redistributing it amongst snap recipients thank you have a good life

What do you suggest the senior and disabled citizens do. Go back to eating dog food just to service???? Or eat only one time every three days, I'm not exaggerating that is what it will come down to with the food prices at the way they are today trying to get by was tough with prices of food at rate they were before the way they were before the pandemic. My partner and I are both disabled with the 17.$ food allowance we both got before the increases we honestly are one meal every other day to service. Yes that also included when we would cook a big pot of beans or soup we still would skip eating a day to make that pot of beans last for at least a week. Even in public housing rent prices have gone up they plan ONOTHER rent increase in July of way over a hundred dollars a month if that goes through we won't be able to pay our rent we will be homeless and living on the street.
