Overworking an actress to the point of mental and physical exhaustion, to the point where there hair falls out AND telling others not to feel sympathy towards her? Yeah despite what she said, that's abuse to me. And idc how talented of a director he was or how good "The Shining" ended up being. Theres no reason she should've been treated like that And theres video of him doing this to her

Definitely. That role of olive oil was perfect for her. Sounded just like the cartoon which I loved. And the Shining sacred the heck out of me when I first watched it I was 10 yrs old

i remember a time on the internet when people were always calling her ugly, like back before she reappeared in the mid 2010s. I never got it cuz i always thought she was quite pretty

I saw an old clip of The Shining the other day and wondered whether Shelley was still alive or not, so when I Googled her it said she was alive. Then she literally ended up literally dying the next day. This is nuts.

It's incredible what time does to us. Watching and listening to her here, versus seeing what she looked and sounded like just before her death... I wouldn't ever have recognized her older self if I didn't already know it was her. And even then, I would have had a hard time believing it. It seemed like she had had a very hard later life, and I'm so happy that she was able to come back for one last role that she truly enjoyed acting in before she passed. Her legacy will continue to be celebrated for years to come. Rest in peace, Shelley Duvall.

She went with someone else and I ended it but she sure was sweet looking. Shelly though looks to have been very honest and down to earth and I hope she was glad of her time here

Really? Popeye had bad reviews? My aunt showed us, little ones, that film. We enjoyed it very much so. I guess it’s understandable why grown men would loath it. There were moments where Bruno’s aggression would have seemed a bit much to gentlemen. When I was a child it was frightening.
