Joey really has the best people skills out of the gang. He's able to size up situations and people with ease, and the best quote of his was the "Moo Point." Rachel's right, that actually makes sense, if you really think about it.

Joey has always been the best friend and gives strong advice when it matters. One of my favorite moments is when Chandler was upset that Monica originally wanted to sleep with Joey, then Joey pretty much told chandler it didn't matter since Monica wanted chandler for the rest of her life.

Joey reminds me of one of my favorite DnD characters who was designed with low intelligence but high wisdom. The magic being that so many things flew right over his fluffy firbolg head, but he also dropped the most amazing nuggets of truth & wisdom. My favorite example being his brief monologue about "Pain doesn't make people, love does. Love is what saves them. Which you would know but you have none around you." Joey is the real world equivalent, periodically LOL

My big hang-up with his advice is how much of it is straight up lying to the other person just to impress them. For example, we know he wasn't hiking outside of Barcelona, but his date wouldn't. If he wanted a long term relationship with that person and not something short term, lying at the beginning is the worst thing you can do to build any kind of trust. As my mom would say, the best way to build a relationship is to be upfront with who you are!

My advise, as cheesy as it sounds is BE YOURSELF. Be your best self (put in the effort and keep putting it in) but be yourself. I was always so afraid to be myself with men I liked. When I met my husband though, I connected with him in a way I never had before. I just knew it was very important to be myself with him because I had a feeling he was it. It was hard. But it was the best thing I ever did. The first person I ever let see me was the first to love me.

i think in the last clip he was trying to teach ross how to be better at attending to a woman's needs/wants in the bedroom. I think in that episode ross had gone on a date and the girl liked dirty talk but he wasn't comfortable with it due to inexperience. So Joey was trying to teach him how to attend to their needs, which is important for long-term relationships.

Buy her food…Heck yeah!!! I am also very susceptible to being hangry. My guy is very aware of this and will go get something for me, either to the kitchen or to the store. He’s also very aware that if I’m physically uncomfortable (cold/hot, uncomfortable clothes, needing a nap, etc.) in general that it can throw my mood way off, and he will do what it takes to fix it without being mean or petty about it. And he gives me permission, if you will, to take care of myself first when I was always taught to take of others first and myself last. It makes me feel so cherished, like he just wants me to be happy and comfortable. I really appreciate him looking out for me.

The entire point of the "dirty talk" scene was the woman Ross was seeing (I think she worked at the museum) asked him to talk dirty to her and he couldn't. She was also actively encouraging sex (loosening his tie, etc). Ross then of course went to Joey, who tried to help him out.

Phoebe and Joey are seen as dumb and naive a lot by many of the characters, but they are the wisest. I think they both have more experiences than the other characters do. While Joey is a player and was not great to many if partners, he grew over time and tried to respect the people he dated, especially Rachel. He always was a loyal friend and tried helping any way he can.

I love Joey a lot. I think he is a great character- Loyal friend, loving funny person real and smart. I don't know why people think he is stupid. Sure he may not be the sharpest tool in the shed but he sometimes give gems of wisdom. Anyone who doesn't understand it doesn't understand Joey and that's too bad. Now as for catch phrases and romantic stories my advice is- Forget about it. Women has sharp mind and emotional wisdom. If you bullshit a women she will catch that most of the time. No instead be honest and open with her and yourself, the cleanest no bullshit way and hope for the best. And if she doesn't want it it's her choice move on to the women will value the clean of bullshit men.

I mean, I think Joey has the right skills, maybe not the best application of some of them, the thing I find interesting about "the romantic story" is that is not so much about the story perse, but the fact that you tell an interesting anecdote and grab someone's attention and THAT CAN be useful in a date, because specially in first dates you want the other person to see how interesting you are, and being able to tell a good story can be a good way to create that bridge

I agree with your assessment on the dirty talk, but some viewers might not realize that clip is taken out of context. Ross has already been on a couple of dates with this woman, and she was the one who initiated the dirty talk; he got nervous, and it didn't go well, which is why Joey is helping him get more comfortable with it. That being said, if it's something she's really into, but it makes him feel uncomfortable, that may be a sign they are not right for each other.

As a woman, I'd say that all men in Friends are quite terrible at dating. I have had a soft spot for Chandler, because I have a soft spot for troubled goofy men, I mean, emotionally unstable, scared of commitment AND funny? I will probably be in a puddle. But that is more due to personal issues and lack of self-confidence. That being said, I think that to have a good impression on someone, you need to seem genuine. I have known people who will gob anything, but most people are able to pick up on fakeness, so if you are fake - you are less likely to score with such a person. At least, I wouldn't waste my time on a person that is fake on a first date.

It irritates me that Ross and Rachel is the relationship that everyone likes. Joey and Rachael were so much better together. I don't understand "Tip #2" about pampering yourself, as in, the relevance of the clip. That whole scene had nothing to do with dating. Joey was just trying to get his eyebrows shaped because it was recommended to him for when he goes to get new headshots, which led to a whole beauty salon fiasco. Is he going off a pre-made video someone else made or is this a compilation he created himself? Either way, seems like he didn't actually watch the episode if he didn't know this. Also for #3, "Buy them food," Joey hardly buys ANYTHING. He was giving that stuff away for free or sticks someone else with the bill (usually Chandler). If he does pay, he usually opts for cheap stuff like a slice of pizza. That being said, it kind of takes away half of Joey's "wins" from this video.

I just want to let people know that therapy and psychologist is not always the way to go. If that's your choice and it helps that's awesome. Medication is usually always recommended. Actually I would do the research on my own. How long is this medication been on the market. What are all the side effects. Do you know one of the major side effects of ADHD medicine is causing voices and hallucinations. That's the warning label on the medication. A psychologist would tell you that the schizophrenia is in a small percentage of us and the medicine is a side effect and it true it out of you and that's it. That just happened to me. If I did not accepted it was a delusion I would have probably be locked up not really for being a danger to myself but being a danger to others. Forgive the running sentence I'm using a microphone. Not only were they wrong. I recommend Ben Steins No intelligence allowed. Or KZread Cinema therapywandavision. This is where they cry continuously and do not believe or even conceive they could ever see their dead mother or loved one ever again. So when I say the do not like God and they'll never met that maybe you can see where I'm coming from. They can't even conceive of the possibility that Jesus is real. Not only is he he can heal you from anything. If you trust him. Faith is just asking for him to come there you're assuming he was never there. And following him. This is not easy. This will be the hardest thing the most rewarding thing anybody can do. You do must deny yourself and not try to save your own life to find him. This meansturning from your sins which means turn away. This requires reading the Bible. As frustrating and hard as this is at first I promise you it will be the most important thing and thing you go towith the most joy and a period of time. Try not to think about heaven and hell thinking about loving and trusting him. He is in control and you are not. Do you have free will yes are you God no. Do not try to figure out his wisdom just trust him and listen to him and do as he commands. Jesus really just ask you to love others as he loves you. Worship him with all your heart soul and mind. Psychologist would ask you to do what he does tell you and to take your medicine and this is essential this is not negotiable. I believe they're dealing with spiritual warfare under the label of science which are basically theories that have not been proven. Regardless of what you think you are jealous spiritual warfare . The only way not to be afraid to this Jesus . A book on this is Ecclesiastes first three chapters outline and discernment . And this is for whoever's monitoring the channel the wisdom of a man in the wisdom of God all this vanity . Am I saying there's no such thing as trauma absolutely not. Such thing as depression absolutely not. Such things as anxiety absolutely not. Borderline personality disorder I absolutely disagree. I call it possession. You should not walk into a therapist office and walk out in 5 minutes with depression bipolar and anxiety. I have a degree in psychology. It's really not an issue if you don't believe in that. Can you read a book. I believe most of us can and if you can't you can always learn who you know when someone who can. Is that easy to read and understand psychology and how it works absolutely yes. To understand it and how it's treated. What this is is entertainment under the banner of psychology. To really get you to trust them and see their help. Again if this is working for you God bless you. I'm just being honest here this is the truth.. I believe you're intelligent you can do your own research you can read a book and that's just as good as a damn degree. Jesus heals everything he takes away anxiety, deppresion, adhd, bi polar even trama. Like with trauma they tell you you might have to deal with it for the rest of your life and they're so so sorry.. With Christ it does take a while you just don't get saved in has to be healed. Can someone of Faith with truly Faith that's holy heal you through prayer absolutely. The holy spirit is real and it's a gift from Jesus and one reason he had to go to the cross to give you this gift reading the word word of God and turning away from sin. You see there are some conclusions that are being made. Like with this comment I can pretty much reassure you it will be all attacks or probably removed. If there's no truth in it then why would you remove it. is not about me this is about a higher authority so above me is way so much higher that even trying to conceive his wisdom is insulting. The beautiful thing is if you did you were forgiven just ask the process is for your protection from the enemy which is very real. I can tell you that for a fact. You can't smell carbon monoxide you can't touch it you can't feel it you can't smell it but it will kill you. This is hard to conceive even with that example that the truth is there's a war and your soul is at state love versus evil no matter what you do it just I change this fact. all around you to make decisions that are hurtful to you and more importantly others. When the influence comes it creates an emotion and so much more. This is selflessness that's dying to yourself. You want to talk about narcissism. I say Pride. will check back for comments and if they are positive you have no idea how the tears will flow. One final note trust in him is about getting to know him and turning away from your selfishness and sin and pride and vanity and lost and so on. This relationship is between you and him and just require one additional person to walk with you. It doesn't mean you can't pray and read on your own. You're commanded at least start this journey with someone of faith be careful which person of Faith you choose. I'm not trying to make this complicated. Think of it as a get to of discerning if they are seeking God's will. Which brings me to a Bible I recommend the King James version do not use the internet. You needed outline and discernment and read the discernment. The holy spirit is peace beyond all understanding forgiveness Joy love kindness patience and long suffering. That is suffering like Christ did. But sometimes your will or a lot of times is your will will not align with his will and they'll be times that it will be difficult but he will always show up I promise and I cannot give you a time frame. You have a time frame with medication with psychologist for depression bipolar and a lot of things of up to a month or two before the medicine starts working. Now if you are danger to hurt yourself or others and you have demonstrated this and you do believe the medicine is working which obviously it is then please do not stop taking it. You can do both of the same time and if Jesus leads you there I promise you willknow if healed you're not an idiot. This is the honest answer I don't want to I believe I've covered the majority of the points the last part is the holy spirit is a gift after expressing your faith turning from sin spending time in the world. Think of sin as poison and Jesus is the remedy. Don't think of it as failing him and you are not worth it understand you are forgiven over and over and over if you just confess it. The rest I must leave up to you in the journey. Now one more side note. Abortion was just ruled on a morality judgment in the Supreme Court. As a Christian I apologize to anybody who has been persecuted or lives have been affected by a man or woman confession in Christ or freedoms affected by people on my faith. Even me. Until 3 months ago. Oh we're not doing testimonies here. That was never Jesus's intention. The best explanation is I believe and I can't judge anybody thus God but when you say you're saved you represent Christ in the world and when humans make mistakes which we always will cuz we're humans and never goes away until you get to heaven. See I was just made a mistake I've already asked for forgiveness and I asked for forgiveness from you you actually does when he's in you you will stop sinning. This is an open invitation and not a judgment. The choices of to you. I believe this is the only way but if we met and it wasn't I would love you regardless. We could be friends and what an amazing concept. I will pray that this will be done. I hope if you find him that's your prayer too
