Hitting the dirt tracks of Frickley parkrun, the country parks zig-zag path has finally finished being resurfaced and the parkrun has become exceptional tougher, or has it? Covered in a different type of dressing to the rest of the park, on the main part of the climb and on the downhill sections well.
We always opt for Frickley when we are wanting an easier parkrun that doesn't take too much out of your legs, choosing the off-road route to minimise impact on the joints and find yourselves in a pretty open country park is always a bonus. Frickley has a real community feel about it with a community cafe opening at the conclusion of the parkrun serving typical Bacon Butties, Sausage Sandwich, cakes, coffees and teas. It's a really nice place to get your Saturday morning at 9am, parkrun fix!
