Yeah. Guests from other places were a good source of information. About how things were going in the world in and around them. Or entertainment from stories they could tell. Also, if the host treats the guest poorly it was the whole town's reputation that was on the line. Much like invention of bows and arrows, although differs in degree, many peoples from many places treated their guests well. Even if they were enemies of their community. Or so I was told.

Her Curse of Chucky character Barb Pierce was a bitch who cheated on her husband with her daughter's nanny, was a snob who talked about sending her daughter Alice to public school like it was the worst thing ever, was jealous that her mother Sarah paid more attention to her sister Nica than her which was understandable since back when Chucky was human he kidnapped Sarah and stabbed her in the stomach when he thought she'd called the police on him, crippling Nica in the womb. Barb wanted to put Nica in a home just so she could sell the house and when she thought her mother had committed she went full religious fanatic "suicide is a sin" shit when really Chucky killed her mother.

Like Baldur on the case saying he can be feeling again by go to Jotunheim only to end up being Odin's enforcer to kill teh remaining Giant. As kratos told baldur, the path of vengeance will not give peace; if kratos had allowed Freya to kill him, it would not bring her peace at all, only more depression as she would have taken the wrong road to happiness. Freya stated she felt nothing destroying those things, and it led into more grief later as she continued the quest. If kratos chose to kill Freya, he would be a hypocrite; as he said "we must be better". No more killing.

On one hand it would be nice to have a friendship between a man and woman like this that doesn't become romantic, to work side by side, back to back to do what was right, to become more then their pain and pasts. On the other, the chemistry between them is so strong it's hard not to want them to get together, to be able to be happy together.

Something else to consider, and it took me a while to realize it. In GoW:4, he's very short if not alltogether non-verbal with his responses (Very short simplistic sentences, mono syllable responses, grunts or just complete silence). Then it hit me when Atreus was complaining back to Kratos that he felt his usefulness eneded at translating for him.... Kratos is Greek. He doesn't speak old norse... the man was still learning the language of the region in Gow:4. By the time we get to 5, more time has passed and he's more verbal... he can now effectively communicate. Every once in a while, he will miss a coloquialism that only a true, native speaker would get. Truely, the writing and story creating for this game is a solid 11/10.

Yeah, I wish Fenrir had a little more connection to Odin's death, as he is the one who kills him in the myths and Jormungandr had a little more to do with Thor's death. But this is God of War, original mythologies and their prophecies are thrown off the rails by Kratos and friends. In the Greek mythology, if Kratos didn't exist, Zeus would've had a war with Ares and eventually Zeus would close Olympus off from Greece forever, thus concluding Olympus' reign and the end of the Greek mythology as it relates to mortals.

Technically all the Aesir are halfbreeds. Odin is descended from Giants, Thor is descended from a giant and technically so is Baldur since Odin is his father. Theoretically, Atreus should be more powerful than anybody in the Norse pantheon since he is descended from a true god and is descended from Giants, the ancestors of many of the Aesir. If Kratos and Freya had a child, I think that child could potentially also be very powerful, but probably not as powerful as a cross between a Giant and a Greek god.

My issue here is that Odin's "horrible" actions are pretty damn tame compared to any other god. His most violent thing was throwing some things in a fit of justified anger. People keep saying Odin was a super evil person, yet the worse he's ever done is kill his son for (in his mind) betraying him. He literally starts the game begging for peace with the only caveat being Atreus leave them alone (something Kratos also wants) It seems he's evil because people were told he was evil. If anyone can point to something he did that was worse than Kratos cucking a dude before killing him I'm all ears

He literally kills thor by stabbing him in the heart later in the game for refusing to follow his orders and kill kratos Kratos has never been a good person in the original trilogy, but he was sympathetic and he was the underdog and he lost a lot to become the man he was in the original trilogy and he was tricked and betrayed by olympus at every turn of his life Odin has nothing to fear and has lost no one, he does his evil deeds for power and control... Even after mimir warns him that peace is the only way to stop Ragnarok (a true statement) he still goes ahead and kills the giants because he wanted control of their precognitive abilities... It's as simple as that. He is simply power hungry, perhaps he did not start that way but that IS what he is now and what you are now and what you choose to do is all that matters.
